Second Amendment Sisters, Inc. - Ladies Handgun Seminar
This Saturday, January 31, 2004, Second Amendment Sisters (SAS) will hold a Ladies Handgun Seminar at Second Amendment Sports, 2523 Mohawk St., in Bakersfield, starting at 9 a.m.
Forty women will learn the basics of gun safety and self-defense. Most of the women are novice shooters. The event is free and includes lunch. The morning session will consist of classroom instruction on safety and self-defense theory. After lunch, the women will head to the range to shoot, some for the very first time.
Instructor will be Don Busse of "Martial Arms" (tactical marksmanship and scenario training). Don has more than 30 years of firearm experience. He is one of only five four-weapon combat masters in the world and one of the few handgun combat masters.
Second Amendment Sisters is a nationally recognized womens advocacy group dedicated to preserving the basic human right of self-defense as stated in the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America.
"Were providing a fun, friendly environment for women to learn about gun safety and how to shoot," said Saundra Duffy-Hawkins, California Coordinator for SAS. "Women are often afraid of guns because they dont understand how they work; we believe that the education we provide will give many women the courage to take responsibility for their own self-defense."
Dean Gardner, candidate for State Assembly, is co-sponsor of this event. Dean and his wife Ruth are well-known advocates and champions for gun rights. Ruth will be participating in the seminar.

Now is the time to get that gun...dont put it off...with the kind of legislation coming down the pike...our traitorous leaders are conspiring to add even more restrictive riders onto the AWB...
Hopefully they all will be defeated...but how many federal gun laws have been repealed lately?...if you are gonna buy something...get it ASAP

Thank heavens you folks are spreading the word. Guns are for ladies as well! A woman who has been trained with a firearm is much less likely to be a whining, helpless, liberal victocrat. It is the first step on the path from being a victocrat to being a thinking voter.

Check your records for FL and see if there are any needs. I have an interview for a job there next week (*please* say a prayer for me) as I have been wanting to return there practically since I landed in GA 5 years ag - LOL.
If I am blessed enough to land that job, I should be settled in within a couple of months.

...if you are gonna buy something...get it ASAP!This advice is acutely pertinent. Many excellent firearms that are well suited for women, such as the Colt .38spec. five shot revolver, are unavailable in California. This gun and many others are not on the CA Attorney Generals "Approved List". If a gun is not on the list, you can't purchase it, period. The gun control, we in CA have feared, has already come upon us. I fear it will not go away. Therefore, buy the piece that fits your hand and your needs before its too late. The gun control clock in CA is showing 11:59 PM and ticking.

These seminars fill up FAST and I already have a list of ladies who want to attend the Fresno one. Perhaps you could send me a FReepMail and give me their names so I can start the ball rolling. I don't want any freepers or friends of freepers to miss out.
