You'll get no argument from me...IMHO, Shrillary, Expects/Demands her minions to fall on their swords to protect her...The *itch was/is integral to the libel lawsuit. We how have a two-tier legal system, one for real/regular people and other for "elite political class". When the liberal excused "the serial perjurer/traitor/rapist", our system for all, was dead...and EVIL Shrillary smiled. :((

"So, if Rush is charged and convicted, he would be the only person ever convicted for this newly minted "crime"?
"He is a trendsetter...:o)"

You're right, he's ahead of the curve on this one.

But never you fear - Good 'ole "Honest Roy" Black sez there aint nothin in those records anyhow....

He's just stringing this out to prove a point, boost his fee, and push any resolution of the case further into the election cycle.

This guy must be really conflicted: a Libertarian ostensibly 'bashing' a conservative icon for alleged misue of a legally prescribable (as opposed to illegal, non-prescibable substances like marijuana, cocaine and heroine) 'pain killer' ...

Who is forced to use left-wing conservative-hating sites for his citations.

I've been listening to Rush regularly since the moment his show came on the air in Florida....12-15 years ago?

Rush-bashers like to think no one is paying attention when they casually or recklessly throw out falsehoods and innuendos in public. Some freepers do pay attention, obviously.

Not only his producers, but enemies as well as fans tape all Rush shows. You can bet negative quotes by Rush on this subject would have been publicly aired by his detractors when the medication problem became known.

Cool! If you need any help with it, then let me know.

I appreciate the offer, & I may call on you later- the wife-unit dragged me outdoors to cut brush when I was in the middle of it, and I haven't had a chance to see what it looks like.

More to come, later-

Maybe someone who is a dittohead subscriber can do a search through the transcripts on his web site. I believe they have transcripts there and hopefully have not purged them to make him look less hypocritical. However we do have this quote from Oct 10, 1995:

There's nothing good about drug use. We know it. It destroys individuals. It destroys families. Drug use destroys societies. Drug use, some might say, is destroying this country. And we have laws against selling drugs, pushing drugs, using drugs, importing drugs. And the laws are good because we know what happens to people in societies and neighborhoods which become consumed by them. And so if people are violating the law by doing drugs, they ought to be accused and they ought to be convicted and they ought to be sent up

Now, quite frankly you have to admit that you have never heard Limbaugh champion those who want to legalize drugs. I have heard him say several times that people who want to legalize pot are "selfish". Can't quote the time or the day because I have better things to do than document every stupid thing RL says. If you disagree, so be it. But you might want to listen to a few of those old programs before you go on defending the guy.

...and we know, who the witch is....Sen. Mrs. William Jefferson Blight (Shrillary) Clinton ('RAT-NY)

I'd like to know when the Palm Beach prosecutor is going to file charges against Rush's housekeeper. Or don't they care about drug pushers down in Florida?

I'll bet the housekeeper has some interesting stories to tell. And I'll also bet that she mysteriously dies, ala Vince Foster and Jim McDougal and A Cast of Dozens, before she has a chance to tell what she knows.

Two more things:

Of course you know that to feign to be what you aren't, in this case; "honest", is to expose yourself as being exactly what you're accusing Rush of being, ie: 'a hypocrite'.

Better check your dictionary. It's one thing to be a lier or slanderous, it's quite another to be a hypocrite. I am giving you my honest recollection of the couple of times it has come up. Perhaps I was mistaken but I don't think so.

Otherwise, you will need to publically retract what thoughtful people can only conclude is malicious gossip and innuendo, put forth by you in a "pile on with his other enemies" attempt to damage and smear Rush's character and reputation....So this statement will stand as a false, malicious, misleading statement, made by a dishonest, biased hypocrite, with a not-so-hidden agenda, until it is backed up with facts:

Are you late for your medication? Because you are sounding a little worked up here.

"I'd like to know when the Palm Beach prosecutor is going to file charges against Rush's housekeeper. Or don't they care about drug pushers down in Florida? "

My guess is that she got immunity for "fully cooperating" and ratting out her supplier - who was pushing out hundreds of thousands of pills.

Oh - and since Rush's Lawyer says the story is a lie, what do they charge her with anyway ?

"This phrase is bordering on libel. It implies that charges HAVE been filed against Rush Limbaugh. That has not happened."

This is the liberally biased NY Daily News. When Rush first complained on his radio show about this political persecution, the Daily News reported it by opening their asrticle with loaded words like "rant", "bellyached ": (the cover used the word "whines"),

If Clinton, the Adolescent Sociopath, had been in the precise position of Rush, folks on FR would correctly laff at the defenses now being made.

Ann Coulter is great .... Mark Steyn is great ... Powerline is great ... Goldberg is great ... Victor Hansen is great ... Andrew Sullivan is great ... etc etc etc

Rush is a nitwit and a piece of garbage, according to the PRINCIPLES of so many WOD warriors on FR.

The warriors say ... put people who get high in prison. Do you or do you not?

And now they say, except Rush or Jeb's daughter.

Why is this so difficult to grasp?

Rush has said, "Do not treat me as a victim in all this," and then he hires Roy Black to put up a victimhood defense.

Amazing. Astounding. Astonishing.

Rush should have quit and gone off to enjoy his money. That would have been the honorable thing.

But Rush is not honorable. Absurdly, he has the WOD warriors defending him. Wow. One contemplates the mutuality of reasoning.

I see you didn't provide the exact quotes, with the dates and times, that would prove your whiney, defensive accusation.

In all fairness, unless there exists somewhere on the net a freely accessible archive of Rush transcripts from the first days of his show until late 2003, providing exact quotes is going to be impossible.

Back in the early 90s there was a gent who kept a daily synopsis of Rush's show. It was a handy reference, though even that wasn't a word-by-word transcript. Does anyone remember who kept the archive and what ever became of him?

Also, for any 24/7 Rush subscribers: does the online archive have any of the great old parody songs from the early 90s such as "The Philanderer", the caller abortion bits, Mick from the High Mountains of New Mexico, or Rita X's ravings?

So have I been listening to Rush since Day One and I can tell you and the people who posted the following the following:

1) Rush may have been practicing "benign neglet" by supposedly NOT making any references to legal/illegal drug use but suffice it to say -- as an experienced GOP operative -- Rush supported the Zero Tolerence/Get Tough On Drugs/War on Drugs conservative GOP philosophy no matter what was actually said by him on the air. NEVER did he once question the policies, rhetoric, or expense of the so-called War on Drugs, let alone any candidate or elected official who supported it. Period & you all know it: you were as shocked and ashamed as anyone to learn from Rush himself that he is a serious drug addict.

2) S-or get off the pot: make fun of FM dope smoking lunks all you or Rush want to but the thought of HIM driving on Florida or New York's roads on Oxy or other "prescription" drugs is just as bad/dangerous -- if not more -- than the thought of someone who has smoked marijuana. Perhaps even more dangerous than a drunk driver.

3) Last but not least: Rush IS playing the victim/race/twinkie defense, has a lawyer who defended someone on rape who used the same "I was drunk and out of it" defense and Rush knows he has done wrong...not just to himself but to all of those who support and rely on him for poise in the face of an increasingly shaky world. He also let conservatives and others down who supported, quoted and now, defended him.

Rush's hypocracy on the War on Some Drugs
"There you go again" ... you can't cite ONE diatribe where Rush 'went off on drugs'. As a matter of fact, Rush stated he avoided such discussions, and you can't point to any.

Now, hang it up on this point ...

I don't recall Rush talking about drugs very often. And I don't think people should be jailed for having small amounts of weed either. I don't "feel sorry" for Rush and I don't he's a victim, and he does not think of himself as a victim. He's admitted he did something wrong, he has sought treatment, and he just does not want to be singled out for malicious prosecution because he's a Conservative icon. I support him 100% and I always will.

The suit she's wearing looks suspiciously like a pair of black nylon pyjamas I had as a teenagers... humm! I haven't seen them for years, either...

As for that hat, it really needs a broomstick to properly complement it.

"Nice to see that libertarians are now using the left wing FAIR as a tool to attack Rush."

Except for the fact that they're not the sort of libertarians that America's Limited Government, Rule-of-Law / Law-Abiding Framers were.

They are instead, the flip side of the same coin as the extremists one will find on the DU and FAIR web sites.

They are emotionally immature, relativistic, law-unto-themselves, Libertines.

They hate Rush because he's not a relativist like they are and they can't make him champion their agendas.
