Prayers for My Niece, Please ...

If you would, FReepers, please pray for my brother's daughter, mother of two teenage girls, who was hospitalized in New Jersey yesterday for bronchitis and asthma. She was told that if she did not get to the hospital within several hours, she would die. She's been admitted but is not responding to current treatment and the Doctors do not know why.

Heavenly Father, we return to give You thanks that in Your hand is the life of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind. I pray, O God, that You would be for our beloved Becky the very breath that she needs right now. Refresh her lungs and halt the progress of her distress. Give wisdom to the Doctors and encouragement to her family ... see them through this crisis, in the Name of Jesus, I pray.

Heavenly Father, We pray for your intercession. Please help Becky!! Ease her breathing. Guide the Physicians minds and thoughts. Help THEM to help HER.

Father, she has had such a hard time. We come together now Father, and ask IN YOUR name, JESUS CHRIST, who shed YOUR BLOOD for all of us, that you help Becky. We are many gathered in your name.

Gracious Father, hold sweet Becky in your arms and let her know your love and comfort. I ask this in your Holy name, Jesus Christ. Amen

Kayak, Pegita-Have been gone for awhile, and so sorry to learn of your niece, a beloved mom and your brother's dtr.

I will pray and hope the news later today is good. God Bless you Pegita, your prayers regarding Terri Shiavo have lifted me and encouraged me more than I can state. We can petition our Father for niece with love in our hearts, count me in as one of those. Much love-Lynn/Indiana

Prayer Warriors ... The update on Becky is essentially the same as last night ... she remains in critical condition and is scheduled for exploratory between 10 and 12 tomorrow. Depending on what they find in her lungs (they'll be looking for plugs in the bronchial tubes), she may be placed on a respirator until her lungs heal from the spasms she is experiencing. She's medicated, on oxygen, and "crabby!"

Heavenly Father, we return to give You thanks that Becky is in Your care ... we thank You that there will be relief for her tomorrow. I pray, O God, that You would spare her the ordeal of a ventilator. Be the breath that she needs in her lungs ... be the healing she needs in her bronchial tubes ... take away the spasms that she might breathe normally again. Guide those who tend her, that she might rest comfortably this night. Fill her heart and her mind with the comfort of Your presence and the truth of Your word ... be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God, and the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Thank You, Merciful Father, for Your love and Your truth, in the Name of Jesus, Amen ...

Guide all those caring for Becky. Give Becky patience while on the respirator, Lord. Let her lungs heal quickly with this new intervention. Amen.

St. Therese, Little Flower of Jesus,please intercede for Becky. You suffered on this earth with lung disease, so you know what she's going through. You have promised to spend your Heaven doing good for those of us still here struggling in this valley of tears. We beg your most powerful intercession in this case, and we trust you will secure the blessing of healthy lungs for Becky. Amen.

Prayers continue for Becky, Pegita.

Prayer Warriors, the information on Becky is sketchy this evening, but exploratory on her lungs revealed only that her lungs are damaged; that she must be on steroids for the rest of her life; she will be insulin-dependent because of the steroids; and she will be disabled. I understand she has rejected all of this and feels that once home, she can continue on her own.

Heavenly Father, we return to give You thanks that You have spared Becky the ordeal of a respirator and that You have put before her a manner of treatment that can stabilize her condition. I pray that You will work in her heart to be accepting that her health is precarious and needs her utmost care. May she be mindful of those things around her that are harmful ... give wisdom to her family to effect changes that will enhance her life. Be her very breath ... refresh her lungs ... may she continue to improve unto the day of her discharge. May it be thus, dear Lord, may it be thus, in the Name of Jesus, Amen ...
