Body of missing Okemah woman found in a ditch in Hughes County

The family of a missing Okemah woman talks about the baby, and the future she'll never have.

It's a bizarre case that's taken authorities to Okfuskee and Hughes Counties. Authorities say 21-year-old Carolyn Simpson of Okemah may have been killed for her baby.

Simpson had been missing since last Monday. Her body was found in a Hughes County ditch by a hunter. She'd been shot in the head.

Authorities say her attacker carved her baby from her body. Simpson's family is in shock over what's happened. "Disbelief that um something so horrible and brutal could happen to someone and you know how someone could take her life and her baby's life." Dustie McGrew says her sister-in-law recently moved to Okemah from Kansas to start a family with her new husband. Carolyn wasn't supposed to be able to get pregnant because of health problems. And she was looking forward to her 'miracle child.'"

Family members in Kansas say the baby meant everything to her, and her last days were full of life. "Never had an enemy. You know she was the type to give you her last dollar, you know if you needed it. She was always there for you whenever you needed her."

37-year-old Effie Goodson is being held as a material witness, but has not been charged. She is currently in the Hughes County jail in Holdenville.

Goodson was seen leaving the Creek Nation Casino in Okemah, where she worked with Simpson on Monday. Then she showed up at a Holdenville hospital the next day with a fetus. She claimed it was hers. But doctors determined Goodson could "not" have given birth. Witnesses say Goodson told "them" she was getting ready to have a baby.

Sad ... I take it since this was a "fetus" that the crazy lady brought in that it never had a chance, i.e. it's mother was not near full term. Assuming her guilt, what a sick person this lady in custody must be.

The same thing happened up in Chicago about 7-8 years ago.

Unfortunately, this is not the first time this type of thing has happened. This also occurred here in the Chicago area about 7 years ago. A white gal, with two kids, and who was pregnant by a street gang member was murdered and her mixed race fetus was extracted by her killers, who were all gang members. Then the gang killed her two kids too, just to get rid of them. The fetus/baby survived. I don't think anybody was charged with a "hate crime". Those things only seem to work "one way". The ring leader of this rampage, Fidel Caffey, was given the death penalty, which was overturned by our disgusting and indicted former RINO Gov. George Ryan.

Oh yea, The woman from Chicago was on death row, but we have George Ryan to thank for putting a Moratorium on Death sentences, even for a woman that committed this crime.

Was that the one were two blacks gutted a pregnant white woman? If it is that on really stands out in my mind. The two black folks planned it. She was nearly full term when they cut out the baby on the live mother. It was horrific beyond words. BTW, they didn't use anesthesia. Of course since it wasn't the reverse - white doing this to a black the liberal media didn't out it.
