WASHINGTON -- Rep. Jim McDermott, D-Wash., who earned headlines across the globe last year for criticizing President Bush while in Baghdad, is enmeshed in a new controversy over remarks he made about the capture of Saddam Hussein.
In an interview Monday with a Seattle radio station, McDermott said the U.S. military could have found the former Iraqi dictator "a long time ago if they wanted."

I just watched the movie '28 days later' last night, and it hit me what is going on. Like in the movie, where there is an infection of Rage that spreads and kills off most of Great Britain, there must be a similar infection of insanity that translates into liberal political views. I'm not sure how it is contracted (though a lower level of intelligence is probably analogous to a weakened immune system), but it may destroy us just the same if it spreads. Somebody contact the CDC, because we have a pandemic of dementia on our hands.

McDimwit.

I bet we won't be seeing any of the "national" news pick this up though, so there won't be a huge outcry against mcdermott.
Probably only the washington democrats will denounce him. Won't see the hildebeast or dean, or any of the other dwarves commenting on this

No it qualifies for removal, (even though true it was better suited for use on DU)

Yup, they could have found Saddam a long time ago, if they wanted.
It's just like the Big Oil companies hiding the discovery of 100mpg carburettors.
Not to mention those space aliens the Government is studying.

McDermott is in the 75-80% range every election, so he can run off at the mouth with impunity. For the most part, the local press lets him get away with it, but this statement is so beyond the pale that The [Seattle] Times might call him on it.

Where's the hot water for Baghdad Jim? Where's the hot water for Hillary?
There's no hot water. It's all out cooling in the snow. CongressCritters are nearly all spineless, selfish, destructive fools.
