WASHINGTON -- Rep. Jim McDermott, D-Wash., who earned headlines across the globe last year for criticizing President Bush while in Baghdad, is enmeshed in a new controversy over remarks he made about the capture of Saddam Hussein.
In an interview Monday with a Seattle radio station, McDermott said the U.S. military could have found the former Iraqi dictator "a long time ago if they wanted."

What a major league clymer ---- although not really surprising to hear it from him.
If this is a duplicate, I apologize ---- I did search for a prior posting, but didn't find anything.

2 for Saddam and his sort.
Saddam
They found him in a spider hole,
Just like we knew they would.
Though we are glad I'm sure the Dems,
Feel this is not too good.
I'm sure they all are saddened now,
For Saddam's in our hand.
The French, the Germans, chant along,
The Russians lead the band.
They want the contracts to rebuild,
The Dems want Bush to fail.
Death for Saddam is too swift,
Lets let him rot in jail.
Congratulations to our troops,
And to our leader here.
George Bush is still the man to lead,
He gets my vote next year.

Cowards
They recently found Saddam,
Hiding in his pit.
I hope this is a warning,
Cowards are not fit.
They do not lead but threaten,
Their people to obey.
They rape and kill their people,
All to get their way.
But take away that power base,
Watch the roaches slide.
Death is for their underlings,
Cowards, they just hide.

if I was the father of a soldier over in Iraq and if McDermott was my rep, we would be fightin' right in the streets for God and networks to see. A jury of my
piers just might find reasonable doubt....
To: coder2
McDermott's insane. Mentally unbalanced. Off his nut. Someone should throw a net over him.

"Care to try for the other foot sir?"
"Perhaps a little more rope to finish the last turns in the noose sir?"
These democRATs are laughable, we just need to stay out of their way, because they are destroying themselves.

McDermott serves as a reminder of why the jackass is the symbol of the DemocRATic Party.

Democrats are so SMART! They just plain have more gray matter than the rest of us, I guess, because they KNOW so many things that the rest of us just don't know.

No big deal really. Just your typical democrat. Well, you may be right, but I suspect Baghdad Jim is a little beyond the pale, even for elected Democrats! This is at the bottom of the story...
On Monday, Democrats joined the criticism of McDermott.
"With all due respect to my colleague, that is a fantasy," Rep. Norm Dicks, D-Wash., said of McDermott's comments. "That just is not right. ... It's one thing to criticize this administration for having done this war. I mean, that's a fair question. But to criticize them on the capture of Saddam, when it's such a big thing to our troops, is just ridiculous."
