Kucinich's comments about "the occupation".

All Dems desire to turn Iraq over to UN.

If you listen to any of the dwarfs running for the WhiteHouse, you would soon hear "What is bad for America, is good for us," says a Democrat Party spokesperson. " Let us hope America gets hit again."

Campbell Brown for her, "This should help Bush," comment. Haven't seen her since that moment when Brokaw corrected her.

Also, Aaron (I only pretend to play at being a pseudo-intellectual on tv) Brown and Paula Zahn for their, "Bush had better not gloat," remark.

How they can bring politics into the capture of a man who conducted genocide is beyond the pale.

Then, of course, I am monitoring that other site picking off truly gross statements to inform democrats at work. I can't tell you how many are now republicans.

When I was cruising the "News" channels I stopped on CNN long enough to hear them say that indications are that Saddam has been captured but we cannot confirm that until DNA testing is complete and that will take several weeks.

Stupid m#$%#$ f#$%# g^%^%$^$ d#$%$&$ s#***##$ CNN!

Female newscaster on CNN admitted that Democrat Candidates were hoping for things to go south in Iraq and will possibly be hurt by this news.

As I surfed, I just heard negative things. 'Will the attacks get worse?' was the most common. My daughter and son-in-law were amazed at the LACK of coverage, especially anything positive. She heard Joe Liberman say 'No politics today. Let's just be Americans.'

He is the only dim I can stand. ..... and that is not saying much.

What really stood out is that it took such a small amount of time for the networks to go negative. This makes me believe that they have writers whose job it is to write scripts in advance. They have prepared scripts just like they have prepared obituaries. They do not report news, they try to make it.

The capture of Saddam Hussein means that Time will have to find someone else for their Man of the Year pick. Of course it won't be Bush. They usually make the winner of the Presidential election the Man of the Year for that year, so they're hoping to save Dean for 2004. Who else is there? Schwarzenegger is a Republican. Joseph Wilson IV may be too obscure. Tony Blair might be a possibility...but they'd prefer someone whose selection would be seen as a slap at Bush.

You should see what they are saying on DU. One nut was upset because some on DU were happy that Saddam was caught. He felt that the capture was a bad thing.

You can also be sure that behind closed doors the DNC is grinding its teeth.

NPR is conerned about Saddam's face being shown publicly and undecorously like that

After all, he was a leader and it is unseemly to be doing that.

This is from a professor of International Justice interviewed in a concerned and supportive way by an NPR flunkie.

First thing I saw on ABC was Stephanopoulus saying how the Iraqi celebrations were so small.

And example of the vacuity was on ABC later where after Bush's speech the first thing they talked about was Bush's tone -- ie how he gave the speech rather than about the news itself.

They went on talking about it in terms of political nonsense.

Why do these "news" people forget they should first and foremost present information on the actual news event.

I was stuck running errands this morning with my 13 month old and all I had was NPR.

Their description of Saddam's capture sounding like a eulogy. They were obviously saddened. A few of the guests they had on were mildly upbeat.

I've read about the Great Debate before WWII and how once Pearl occurred that the Nazi sympathizers and isolationists STFU.

...not anymore...the enemy has breached the walls and it is....us.

I was just listening to NPR's special program;they had their reporter Ann Garrels, commenting, it was unbelievable to listen to her spew a vitriolic diatribe against the US military, the Bush administration, and everything going on in Iraq, which she described as "total anarchy".

Obviously, the capture of her hero has unhinged her (small, leftist) mind!

Here's how to create fast links- and, this works with any webpage or site, not just Free Republic...

1- keep your browser open on the page you wish to link, open Outlook Express, and "create new mail." ( One caveat- OE has to have a tab punched which enables that new mail to show a toolbar on its bottom with "edit, source, preview" showing. You may have to poke around the upper toolbar, but somewhere among its choices is a tab that switches on the bottom 3-tab bar in new mail.

2- hilite, copy and paste the URL in your browser "address" box over to the new mail, go back and hilite, copy & paste the title, and any other info you want. Do this as many times as you like.

3- when ready to post, punching the "source" tab in the email reveals the html inside it- simply copy & paste that to where you need it.

This usually works with pictures, too- it can be quirky, so always preview with graphics, tables, and the like.

Lucky that the troops dug Saddam up before he sprouted. Once he took root and went to seed, Sadam weeds could have covered Iraq, like Kudzu covers Dixie.

The capture of Sadam, should be viewed by the world as one of the best Christmas presents the USA has ever given. But it won't be, of course.

"You know, say they take out an elementary school or a movie theater or a shopping mall. "That could change everything," Klein predicted."

This is disgusting. Klein was engaging in two things. Wishful thinking, and offering the enemy of America his personal strategy.

CBS cut off coverage of Bush's speech right in the middle. At first it went to an empty football field and then back to Dan Rather who fumbled for a minute or two - himself even, apparently, realizing how pathetic their actions were, before going back to the 2nd half of Bush's speech.
