We do have a breaking news section. If you like DU so much, why not go back and stay there?

Using DU as your source for comparison is interesting.

I also like that they have a breaking News section...

So does FR. Attempts at abuse of Breaking News are common, but the site nannies never sleep.

I hate the way DU is organized. If you haven't paid, and don't bookmark a thread, you'll never find it again. They disappear. No "bump to the top".

Its very hard to carry on a "conversation".

I like the way DU is organized.

I, too, am intrigued by maggot-infested steaming piles of feces I sometimes encounter walking along the street. I could just stare for hours.

You know what? You're right! This post should not be in News/Current Events.

...the Mel Martinez for Senate string

Is a string like a thread except it's in BOLD?

I like the way DU is organized so that I can find interesting strings without searching for a particular topic.

Then take your happy a$$ back to DU.

Edit your preferences so it shows the Breaking News category. Where in So. Snohomish County do you live? I'm in Edmonds. In Fact I'm so far South in Snoh. County if I throw a rock over my back fence from my garden it lands in King County.

I don't want to seem impolite, but how seriously can we take the criticism that DU (heaven help us!) has a "Breaking News" section when FR featured one so long ago? Could it be that your discomfort is a result of lack of familiarity with FR architecture?

I agree. I had to search for two hours before I finally found this string. But it was definitely worth it. I'm going to nominate this for the "string of the week" award.

It appears that, at the very least an IDIOT ALERT is in order, if not a darn good Zotting.
