[history]
When Gov. Bob Holden helped arrange a meeting between union officials and Rep. Richard Gephardt's top Missouri campaign advisers, the governor thought it would help patch up frayed relations between two powerful but divided political camps.
Instead, it ended in a firestorm of explosive charges, sparked an even deeper rift among two forces key to Holden's re-election prospects, and threw the spotlight on Joyce Aboussie, the Gephardt campaign aide and political powerhouse.

EXCELLENT article on the firestorm between Gephardt, Dean and the unions in Missouri and the extortion attempt by Gephardts aid Auboussie to pull the illegally granted right of the unions to collect dues from Missouri State employees granted by the One-Term Bob.
REQUIRED READING FOR MISSOURI RESIDENTS!!!!!!!

Gephart may do well in the primaries against Dean. But it looks like this is his last go-round, what a flame-out. His best days with the Rats are behind him. The party belongs to the Clintons or Dean now. Neither of them are likely to want him around. I'd say he will have a very tough time retaining his seat in congress.

I saw Gephart's daughter Chrissy on Cspan last night. She ended every answer with, "that's why my Dad would be the best president".
The audience numbered about 20 people, combined age just shy of 2000 years. Looked like they were there for the warm fire and the pretzels on the table.
The whole thing was so pathetic. You could see the sparkle in Chrissy's eyes. Boy, she really wants to live in the whitehouse.
Nobody had the guts to ask her the obvious question: "Do you realize your father doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell?"

Meanwhile, Gov. Holdup's brother, a judge in Greene County, reduced the one million dollar bail on an accused murderer to $50K. He walked out of jail an hour later...Hard to ascertain which one of the Holden brothers is more wacked...
