On paper, the job of San Francisco mayor is supposed to be nonpartisan. In practice, it's been more than four decades since voters elected anyone other than a Democrat to run the city, where the political spectrum seems to run from left-of-center to liberaler-than-thou.

I love it, the election of a green mayor will be the final nail in the cofifn for SF. There will be a longing for conservative sanity after liberal hell.

A certain radio personality out here who does traffic reports, and assumes the persona of a police officer, or some kind of officer, said that he was endorsing Gonzalez because "before you can recover, you have to hit rock bottom, and four years of Gonzalez will be rock bottom."

What a Christmas present that would be for us in the Bay Area!

This news makes the possibility that Ralphy Nader may run for president even more important for our side.

HE'S BAAAACK! - A POLITICS1 EXCLUSIVE - If anyone has doubts about Ralph Nader's plans for 2004, his new website should erase those doubts. Yup, it appears Nader will make a fourth run for President in 2004. The site -- which was registered October 24 by the folks at VoteNader.org (his official 2000 campaign site) -- went online this week in a very nascent form. The site also carries a disclaimer stating it was paid for by the "Nader 2004 Presidential Exploratory Committee, Inc." of Washington, DC. The committee is so new that it is not yet registered with the FEC. However, the committee does not need to register until it raises or spends at least $5,000.

One Naderite reader -- who received a mailed notice from the committee last week -- said the note implied Nader planned to run again. Interestingly, the note gave the impression Nader was possibly looking to run this time as an Independent instead of a Green. Nader -- the former two-time Green Party nominee -- as a registered Independent. If he wants it, Nader remains the perceived frontrunner for the Green nomination next year.

Yeah, here's hoping that Gonzalez wins and pushes the City the rest of the way over the cliff. Newsom will just be more of the same. Only with financial and cultural ruin will the denizens of SF learn What Doesn't Work.

He should know there are many Democrats backing me and the reason Newsom is doing so well is he gets Republican votes."

Awwww sweetie, you can say that in public, but you know when it comes voting time that the Republicans there will be voting Green for the first time in their lives, you know we love you!

"Talk in generalizations, skip debates and then criticize everyone else for the way things are -- it's a great strategy," Newsom said. "It worked for the governor."

That may be true, phoney Democrate...but that doesn't matter, its time we open up the political process to more than 2 parties. We can do it! I'd say "God bless the Greens", but there's no need to make them mad, so I'll say "The Best of Karma to you are your's" this Holiday voting Season Matt. It will be the happiest of Kwanzaas if everyone will Vote Green!

If the Greens win San Fran, I predict DNC operatives will be jumping out of windows, mark my word.
