Governor Frees Illegal Alien who Murdered Woman in Front of her 14 month old child

In 1987 Rosario Munoz was an illegal alien living in Los Angeles when she sat in wait and then murdered a woman. The victim was sitting beside her 14 month old daughter when she was shot and killed by Munoz. The victim was her husband's long time mistress. The murderer had been long aware of the adulterous relationship between her husand and the victim.

Munoz had taken a gun from the business she owned with her husband and rode on the bus to the victim's home. She waited, and when her husband and the victim drove up in a truck with the victim's 14 month old daughter sitting between them, she shot and killed the woman. She was convicted in 1989 and has spent the last 15 years in prison.

The convict's excuse was that she was abused by her husband and that she was being jailed because she was an illegal alien..

Governor Schwarzenegger has decided to uphold the California Parole board's ruling to let her be released from her prison sentence and she is paroled.

No comment as to whether or not she will be deported to her native Mexico or will be allowed to continue living illegally in the United States.

Someone who lays in wait and murders someone next to their baby is the lowest of the low.

I knew Schwarzenegger was a lefty on environmental issues. But I didn't think he was going to be soft on crime.

Second thing he does is release two murderers from prison.

Sick, she should be 6 feet under and instead she's out after 15 years.

The governor did not release her- the parole board did.

Blaming this on him is wrong.

Oh please... you cant blame Schwarzenegger on this. I gotta hand it to the California penal system, they made her serve 15 years- that's a lot more than some murderers serve.

No $hit. Here in Washington, the only way you get 15 years of actual time behind the walls is from a drug conviction. Murder nets you about 7-10. "Justice" anyone?

Hopefully, she was deported also. If not, she can always receive a reward of welfare and free health care in California.

No. The Governor makes the decision to accept or reject the parole board's recommendation. Davis had denied her recommended parole in the past.

Arnie was chosen because he is a 'fiscal' conservative and inspite of his being a 'social' liberal-
and mainly because McClintock wasnt deemed a feasible winner...even though he was the obvious best choice.

Any thing Arnie does do that is socially conservative ought to be considered a plum- imo

No. See number 7. The governor has the final authority and does not need to follow parole board recommendation.

This was the Governor's decision.

Oh, now I see she's been supported in prison for 15 years already.

And is/was her husband & lover illegals too?

Sorry to seem so callous but nothing good can come of this unfettered illegal invasion setting up their Spanish-only enclaves ...

I don't doubt your veracity, but an actual news account would be helpful.

I agree. While I fully understand the need for reclaiming our language and the true meaning of words, I doubt very much that any California newspaper refers to them as "illegal aliens." They are criminal illegal aliens but no newspaper would call them that either.

Here's one http://www.bayarea.com/mld/cctimes/news/7362400.htm

LA Times Novemebr 27 has details on the actual murder -- the link above is edited.

Second thing he does is release two murderers from prison.

The only thing I liked about Davis was that he usually did not grant parole to convicted murderers. I think his only exceptions were for a few abused women who had killed their husbands.

I hope Gov. Schwarzenegger won't work too hard on social liberalism, since it's more important that he makes the necessary 15% cuts to the budget. He campaigned on fiscal conservatism, so I hope he emphasizes those needed changes instead of allowing the legislature to borrow money to cover excessive spending.

See above. LA Times and the embedded link to a web site where the murderer herself states her illegal status.

Thanks for the good job you mods do.

Being cheated on is not, in some sense, being abused? I bet, quietly, when they think nobody's looking, a lot of paleo's will cheer Munoz.
