There was a real smoker of a meteor in SW Arizona last night right before sundown. It left a trail of smoke that lasted at least 5 minutes before it got too dark to see it anymore. The vertical smoke trail did not distort or seem to move at all after the meteor flashed into a bright white/yellow light. This leads me to believe that the meteor got pretty low, before it burned out.

About three dozen microscopic shards of rock I'm surprised they didn't find shards of prehistoric SUV's during their research.

250 millions years ago! How stupid can you get. Life on this earth is no where near 250 million years! It is once again, the evolutionist theory! No science just theory!

To date, most geologists have argued that meteors are not powerful enough to crack the earth's crust. Obviously, it depends on the size and composition of the meteor, speed and angle of entry, where it hits, etc. The Mars-sized "meteor" that created the moon probably made quite a mess. And I'm guessing that a large iron meteor striking Hawaii, Yellowstone or a plate boundary would be almost sure to release lava.

To date, most geologists have argued that meteors are not powerful enough to crack the earth's crust. Perhaps not, but it seems possible that a big one could send a shockwave through the earth and set off volcanoes in weak parts of the crust.

The extinction 250 million years ago, known as the Permian-Triassic boundary, was the largest extinction of all. More than 90 percent of species living in the oceans and 70 percent of those on land disappeared.Where's the petroluem in Texas? The Permian Basin.
Where is President Bush from? Texas.
What is petroleum made from? Extinct organisms.
Bush obviously knew about the impending Permian-Triassic extinction. He and his Skull & Bones buddies arranged for a meteor impact that wiped out over 70% of species living on land. No doubt women and minority species were hardest hit. What was their motive for this massive war crime? OIL! Bush's Texas oil buddies arranged for the Permian-Triassic extinction, just to ensure that they would be able to drill for oil!
NO IRIDIUM FOR OIL! (c8

It's an oldie, and was already in the GGG catalog, but never got a ping, as it was from the pre-ping era. ;') Today I discovered (or finally noticed) a whole period of microhistory of the GGG ping list. :') Please FREEPMAIL me if you want on, off, or alter the "Gods, Graves, Glyphs" PING list --
