House Resolution to Call for Sen. Rockefeller's Resignation (MemoGate Action Alert!)

House Resolution to Call for Sen. Rockefeller's Resignation (MemoGate Action Alert!)

Although the Senate Republicans have taken some significant steps toward holding the Democrats on the Select Intelligence committee accountable for their treasonous memo outlining a plan to use the power and resources of the committee against the President -- such as partially shutting the committee down -- further action is necessary.

Despite popular belief, there are Republicans in Washington with spines -- in the House of Representatives.  For example, Majority Leader DeLay has shown an enormous willingness to play hardball with the Democrats -- just look at how he is punishing House Democrats by denying them pork for their districts and how he beat the Texas Democrats over the redistricting issue.  This is the type of Republican we need fighting with us on this one!

Thus, we have reason to believe that House Republicans would be willing, with enough of a "push", to bring a resolution to the floor calling for the resignation of Senator Rockefeller.  The House Democrats are bringing a resolution to the floor calling for the Secretary of Defense's resignation -- why not bring our own demanding the resignation of a real traitor?

You can help the effort in a few easy steps:

1)  Click here to create the email.  The email will be received as a fax.

2)  Write him an email (that will be sent as a fax) explaining why the House Republicans need to pass a resolution demanding the resignation of Senator Rockefeller over the Democrat Memo, or, if you are short on time, use the following sample:

Dear Congressman,

I'm writing you regarding a grave threat to the safety and security of Americans at home and abroad.

As I am sure you are aware, a memo from the Democrats on the Senate Select Intelligence committee has surfaced outlining a plan to:

Fabricate political conclusions that would damage and embarrass the President and the administration, “pull the trigger” on an "investigation", under false pretenses, using the resources of the Intelligence Committee to search (or fish) for information that might support the pre-determined political conclusions, and then, using a loophole in the Intelligence Committee rules, attach it as a “political bomb” to any report the committee releases.

This is treason, and, as Senator Zell Miller stated, "heads should roll".  Unfortunately, the Senate Republicans have been unable or unwilling to carry out their duty to investigate this gross ethical violation that threatens the safety of all Americans - the Intelligence Committee is supposed to be determining how to improve our intelligence gathering capabilities and make America safer, not conducting opposition research for the Democrat National Committee.  This unnecessarily wastes public funds and puts us all at risk.

Of course, the Senate Democrats, instead of disavowing the memo (the American thing to do) have chosen to put politics over national security.  They have chose a "spin" strategy: blame the cops for catching the robbers.  They have been caught red handed committing an act of treason, and they would like to, instead, put the blame on those who caught them.  This cannot stand.

Therefore, I call on you and the House Republicans to do the right thing: call for the resignation of Senator Rockefeller.  Even if he did not himself pen the memo, a member of his staff must have.  The doctrine of respondeat superior dictates that a superior is held responsible for the acts of his subordinates.  Senator Rockefeller, ranking member of the committee, must therefore be held responsible.

Please do the right thing, Congressman.

Thank you,

YOUR NAME

YOUR ADDRESS

3)  Send it!  That's all there is to it.

Also, please take the time to call Rep. DeLay about this important issue at: (202) 225-5951

I strongly suggest faxing/emailing/calling/mailing your own representatives (or others in the House Leadership).

You can find your representatives by clicking here.  You can find other members of the leadership here.

Let's keep their feet to the fire!!!

I contacted my senators two days ago. Today, I'll phone DeLay's office. I really don't think too many people get the import and grave implications for our national security in this Memogate affair. Please, everyone, contact your representatives today.

Whoops... I forgot to use the word "Resolution" in the text of the sample letter.

So, anyone who reads this, make sure to add that DeLay (et al) needs to pass a RESOLUTION calling for Rockefeller's resignation.

Glad to see something happening. I sensed that this critical issue was already starting to slip off the radar screen, without the "mainstream media" every seriously addressing it.

Whoever wrote it doesn't deserve that much power. They use it for evil purposes.

Besides being on the meek side, Senate Republicans would also probably defend Rockefeller because his father-in-law is a popular former Republican senator, Charles H. Percy of IL. The Percy seat is now held by liberal Dick Durbin.

Up until this memo was leaked it is (in hindsight) abundantly clear from Rockefeller's retoric a week or so ago, particularly during his appearances on TV, that he was indeed the point man on the strategy outlined in the memo...out front laying the retorical groundwork so the Rats could "pull the trigger" early next year.

What did he know and when did he know it?

I give you an 'A' for effort, but ya know it's a waste of time since Rockef***er is in bed with: Trilateral Commission, Council on Foreign Relations, Bilderbergers, Federal Reserve Bankers, etc., etc.

When Jay Wolfe ran against him, he couldn't get so much as a thin dime from ANY Republican in Washington. Bush didn't even know Rockef***er was up for re-election last year! Good luck with yer petition.

#9 was a duplicate post of #8. Nothing more, nothing less.
