[history]
November 9, 2003 -- We don't know what Mayor Bloomberg was smoking when he gave that interview to Vanity Fair, but it must have been strong stuff; why else would he have dissed Rudy Giuliani like that? After all, without Rudy's active support Mike Bloomberg would still be sitting at home counting his mega-billions.

Bloomberg insists his comments were not meant as criticism of Giuliani, but it's hard to read them otherwise.
Bloomberg is basically calling Giuliani a racist but then says he isn't criticising Rudy. This is the worst case of RANK INGRATITUDE since the widder Carnahan refused to vote to confirm John Ashcroft as AG after he refrained from campaigning when her hubby died thus insuring her entry into the senate.
This plus Bloomberg's incredibly OBSESSIVE campaign against smoking suggests he must be suffering from mental problems along with personality deficiencies.

Bring back Rudy, or even Ed --er eh -- Koch, who was very umm entertaining. New York needs a real New Yorker as mayor not a Bloomberg mayor.

Yeah! Koch recently announced that he supports Bush in 2004. He needs to be rewarded for that. This is actually one election where I would be happy to vote for the Demmycrat over the "Republican."

So I guess according to Bloomie not kissing Sharptons ring is racism?
I was never happier to see a Mayor finally not cowtow to Sharton and his ilk. Much more got done that way.

Mayor Bloomingidiot is going to go to Albania to celebrate their flag day as a way of thanking the Albanians living in New York.
Tell me again that this man is sane!

Yep, I had many Albanians as neighbors when I lived in the Bronx. They used their pizzerias and cafes as KLA fundraisers/heroin distribution centers. Lovely. :-(

Albania has an awesome, underdeveloped Adriatic coastline. Croatian coastline property was snapped up a few years back and commands higher prices now. Have you ever tried Balkan wines? There is this one wine produced in former Yugoslavia named Avia. It is very good. Pennies a bottle and taste as good or better than the finest Californian and French wines. And lest we forget, the cork trees and oak in the region are the finest for cask and cork making.
Where was I? Oh yes, I'm sure Mayor Bloomberg has more than an interest in flags in his noggin'. Albania is opening up its country for investment after decades of strict Maoist-type communism. Mayor Bloomberg is not a political genius; I'd guess his genius lies elsewhere.

The only reason Bloomburg won was
1- He wasn't Mark Green
2- Rudy Giuliani's record and support
To repudiate the REPUBLICAN legacy that turned NYC around and the man that did it is absurd. I guess Bloomberg being a lifelong Democrat until he wanted to be mayor and registering Republican only to get into a primary that he could win explains the nastiness though...(not to mention the property tax increases)
To: OldFriend
I know he keeps it hidden. I'd like to think its an act. Never underestimate men. But I agree with you that he has kept genius hidden. Never forget his NYC Blackout press conference.

His first words after the murder in City Hall was that 'we lost two souls'........and why did the murdered councilman need to carry a gun anyway?
