Celebrations Erupt Across Arab World after US Chopper Crash

Cairo, Egypt-AP -- There are celebrations reported across the Arab world, after the news of more American casualties in Iraq.

Resistance to the occupation is applauded by some who see it as proof that Iraqis weren't totally humiliated by the relative ease of the U-S-led coalition's toppling of Saddam Hussein.

Many Arabs had warned an invasion of Iraq could drag the region into chaos. In Damascus today, foreign ministers from countries bordering Iraq again called on the U-S to restore order in that country.

Iran, Syria, Egypt, Saudi, Yemen, Turkey, all need to be absolutely flattened, like we did Germany and Japan.

I don´t know why you add Turkey to that list, but for the rest of your post, I´d agree. I told another FReeper that the Iraqis are not sick and tired of war, they still have not enough. Too many continue to support terrorism. In Japan and Germany 1945, people were fed up with war and destruction.

The religion of peace is our deadly enemy.

General Boykin is right.

We're going to find out, sooner or later,

If Abdul will pray, to a smoking crater.

In consideration for the quality of their coverage when compared to the alphabet networks and the other cable so-called news networks, I'm not sure that a boycott of Fox News is warranted for one failing. That said,...

I do offer my prayers and condolences for those affected by this tragedy.

Two US citizens (civilians working for the Army) were murdered in Fallujah tonight.

If I don't watch FOX News, then whom do I turn to ? (I mean, besides FreeRepublic.com) ??

I'll boycott all the other Alphabet Channels - in fact, I HAVE BEEN for YEARS ! (I turned to FOX because I was SICK AND TIRED OF CNN. TOTALLY SICK AND TIRED of them. I would sometimes go ballistic when I watched their totally LEFT-BIASED reports).

But if I boycott FOX, there is NO OTHER news outlet worth watching that I am aware of.

I might as well call DirecTV and cancel my Satellite ...

"We are still fighting a PC war there,"

That will be our downfall in Iraq.

If there is a policy change it should be reviewing the reason we went to Iraq. To get rid of Saddam and his loyalists and to find WMD. Rebuilding the country in the process is just another added benefit.

I think because the Iraqi army fell away so quickly we changed our mode from warriors to humanitarian ambassadors too quickly. In the process militants, al queada and syrian guerrillas sat up shop under the radar. Now we have to regroup and go back to a major military stance.

Of course this is an opinion from an armchair rubbernecker. :)

Yes, the Iraqis are capable of rebuilding their own sorry country. Let's finish what we started.

Personally, I'll stick to getting breaking news from FR.

Me, too. The media are whores.

And to add insult to injury, dumb whores.

Any wreckage of American vehicles, ground or air, needs to be obliterated by an airstrike while the Muslim savages are still dancing around it. We can call it "Liquidating our Assets".

Even though Muslims are brainless, they will develop a Pavlovian response and avoid damaged American vehicles like the plague.

The other insult is having to listen to Gephardt whine all day on FOX about needing more help from the UN. Who I might add have tucked their tails and run home already.

He should be out there thanking those countries that have assisted and are still helping.

Thank goodness he's a miserable failure and don't have a snow balls chance of being a president of the United States.
