DEMOCRATIC SENATOR, ZELL MILLER, ENDORSES BUSH - "The next five years "will determine the kind of world my children and grandchildren will live in," Miller said in an interview. And he wouldn't "trust" any of the nine Democratic presidential candidates with governing during "that crucial period," he said. "This Democrat will vote for President Bush in 2004." "

LIFE-LONG LIBERAL, ROGER L. SIMON, ENDORSES BUSH - "I remember the day, and it wasn't so long ago, that liberals like me were attacking our government for supporting dictators. Now these new "liberals," or whatever they want to call themselves, attack our government for taking down dictators. "

LIFE-LONG LIBERAL DOESN'T AGREE WITH BUSH ON ANYTHING DOMESTIC, BUT ENDORSES HIM -
"Unless the delusions of the far “left” stop infecting these candidates, unless they stop hallucinating that Iraq is Vietnam, unless they get off the opportunists bus they’re riding on, unless they see that the (party) problems of nine little candidates don't amount to a hill of beans in this crazy world, and if the election were held today, even though I disagree with Bush domestically, I would have to vote for George W. Bush. No contest."

LIFE-LONG SUPER-LIBERAL PRAISES BUSH A YEAR AGO -
"Margaret Thatcher said that the real test of political victory was the ability to change the mind of the other party. And not many people wish that Al Gore and his team had been on the bridge four months ago. By this admittedly exacting standard, Bush has not yet made himself undisputed leader."

SAME LIFE-LONG LIBERAL, CHRISTOPHER HITCHENS, LAMBASTS KERRY AND DEMOCRATS -
"Kerry thus joins the phalanx of a rather dubious movement: those who would have left the whole issue of Saddam Hussein alone had Bush not chosen to raise it. This is the whole nub or crux or subtext of the present recriminations. There were those who favored regime change in Iraq in any case, and who thought that the WMD argument would serve as a mobilizing tool. And there were those who opposed regime change in Iraq who would not now change their minds if all the specified weapons had actually been found."

SAME LIFE-LONG SUPER LIBERAL ENDORSES BUSH - "Because I’d vote for Bush. The important thing is this: Is a candidate completely serious about prosecuting the war on theocratic terrorism to the fullest extent?"

--hopefully, the present crew of Demotraitors and their de facto leaders, the Clintons, will remove themselves as a political force for at least a generation--

Yes, but did you hear...Jim Jeffords defected and John McCain isn't happy with some Republicans:) I wonder if Chris Matthews will have Zell Miller on his show for the next several months or if the NY Times will even review his new book?

The difference is Jim Jeffords and John Mccain are playing politics over conscience. They are tryin to extend their voter base to the moderates. Zell Miller is retiring after this term so he doesn't have to worry about losing votes by coming out with his honest opinion.

Clinton saved his presidency by having almost 100% of democrats stand by him in the wake of Impeachment.

Are these democrats the equvalent of Alec Guiness in "Bridge over the River Kwai" who awakes from his delusion and says too late, "What have I done?"

I realize that. I was being sarcastic about the media coverage...and how they touted Jeffords as a "man of conscience" for over a week, while we'll never hear a thing about Zell's consceince. The same appllies to McCain, who anytime he has a disagreement with Bush or conservatives, is on every news show as a media darling. Do you think Zell...or any of the other "dissenters" will even be discussed by the mainstream media? Hell, they're doing their best to hide these aggitators.

Forgot about that on Hannity.

I should have added that as well. Koch is quite the Liberal, I was surprised to hear his staunch support.

Yes! That's saying something.

The Dems have had some major defections.
