Is Hatch who we need to hammer about the immigration garbage and wanting to amend the constitution to let foreign borns be eligible for the presidency or am I thinking of someone else? That would be Hatch.
Also, what is he doing about getting the President's judicial nominees through the Senate?

Thanks I thought so. Not exactly someone I count as a conservative.
No softball questions for him please.
To: dubyaismypresident
Kay will ask him, no doubt. She heads up the Citizens Coalition for a Fair Judiciary.

Well, in all Fairness to Hatch, he does get them out of Committee, in a timely manner.
The President blew a large opportunity with the recess last summer, to make Recess appointments, Especially of Estrada, since the claim was "He had no record to judge on, and wouldn't answer questions"
If Pickering cannot get a Vote, and Owen for that Matter, HE should appoint them all during Recess, and Make Democratic Senators Pledge During Re-election campaign, to make sure they get voted on.(and Definitely Recess appoint Janice Rogers Broqwn)

Orrin Hatch was delayed at the Medicare hearing. He will (hopefully) be on RFR in two weeks on the next edition of The Daly Report.

You're on the right track regarding Hatch. He is also shepherding the "Dream Act" through Congress, where we taxpayers will be required to give special tuition benefits to the children of illegal aliens. Outrageous, huh?
This is just one of many reasons I don't see any difference between the Republicans and Democrats on the illegal alien issue.
IMHO, Hatch has been in Washington too long and is getting too cozy with his buddy Ted Kennedy. Hatch enjoys grandstanding on TV and acting like he is enough of a Conservative so that he can blindside voters with things like the "Dream Act."

Make sure to hit Hatch over the head with something hard and blunt. Like the truth.

The President blew a large opportunity with the recess last summer, to make Recess appointmentsBush opposes recess appointments for several good reasons, they are almost always temporary for one.
The GOP 'leaders' in the Senate are the biggest group of pink pantied, limp wristed politicians in DC. Thats why Estrada wasn't confirmed a year ago.
