This is an interesting read if only to confirm what most people already seem to know about the different personalities and the types of alcohol they drink. I don't know if this has much revelatory value in making correlations between alcohol type, personality type, and health profile.

An interesting dissertation on the difference between correlation and causation . . .

Who the hell drinks the swill wine that bars serve?
Serious wine drinkers don't hang out in bars, unless it's a wine bar.

I drink all three 'types'. What's that make me?

My own obsevations reveal that wine drinkers are pretentious, beer drinkers fantisize about doing neat stuff, and hard liquor drinkers are serious about getting drunk.

Very true, that's probably the most misunderstood, or misstated, distinction I see in debates on here.

Why did you post that here when you could probably get a federal grant for that observation?

Let's see....I am a 48 year old female who runs 3 miles on my treadmill a day, (in pretty good shape I might add!) and love my brew. (And yes, I am very sophisticated; I always drink beer out of the bottle.)

Nova Scotians don't give a damn about smoking in a bar. Its the western Canadians and Ammericans that have been brainwashed about 2nd hand smoke.

Umm... an alcoholic? We prefer the term "spirits enthusiast." :-)
To: Loyalist
Well, I limit my intake to strictly the liquid kind. Can't be too careful.

I was asking the same thing, I guess we are well rounded and ballance individuals.
