I have started a petition that states the undersigned will not watch the CBS special on Reagan and will boycott any products advertised on the air. Let our outrage at media bias be heard!
Like academia and a lot of the media, Hollywood is an agenda driven lobby. Its pretty difficult to judge bias when everyone consulted is a radical Lefty. Its just another example of the problems of group think and radical polarization.
My problem is not with portraying some of Reagan's faults, but as the NY Times has reportd, there is no discussion of his successes at all. I support free speech, but this is fundamentally unfair and borders on libel/slander. As a historian, the fact there is no evidence they discussed the movie and its contents with anyone close to Reagan is truly troubling.
So the question is: what can we do about it? I have a suggestion. I have started a petition that states the undersigned will not watch the CBS special and will boycott any products advertised on the air. Let our outrage at media bias be heard!
The petition reads:
We the undersigned will not watch the biased CBS miniseries "The Reagans," which unfairly distorts the historical record of the President. Furthermore, we promise to boycott all products advertised during its airing.
P.S. If you can check out my site for more conservative political commentary at Spero Speaks
