Maybe the Indian skull should be returned when the the Native Americans (and the Army Corps of Engineering) finally stop preventing research on bones of ancient Americans who were unrelated to today's Native Americans.

I say leave President Bush alone; the man is a hero. Ironically, he recently learned that he was the only one of his fellow pilots who survived being EATEN when he crashed in WWII. The irony? Canabalism was widely practiced by American indians, but media and academia have successfully suppressed the vast evidence of said from the historical record.

So, you state that the Native American's Religions are bogus? Well, I guess that you think that any religion other than Christianity is wrong...hmmmmmmm.......None of us know if any religion is correct or even real until we die.

hmmm....btw, all indians lived in a feral, uncivilized state? Not.

She attests to the legitimacy of the story

imo the only "truth" she can "attest" to

Is that she "believes" the story to be true....and not that she knows first hand or factually...

she believes the second hand third hand testimony...

She Wants To Believe

"hmmm....btw, all indians lived in a feral, uncivilized state? Not."

"Always helps to dehumanize the people you decimate.

The North American natives were decimated by disease. As for their culture and civilization it offers very little which is preferable to European culture and civilization hence it's fall from favor even among Native Americans. I'd hardly call that "decimation" rather the free market of lifestyle which Western culture permits. How many other cultures permit freedom of choice and self-determination?

The concept of the 'noble savage' is so 19th century. Primitive living is just that -primitive. The people living therein are suited to it.

It takes a civilization to differentiate the conditions and behaviors of it's inhabitants which the concepts of character and nobility are based upon. Applying one culture's values to another culture's conditions seems rather ignorant or even bigoted.

Nowadays the products of primitive, subsistence-living usually end up in prison.

Civilization is just as much the skill of it's citizens as are it's products. Why lower the bar of civilization with increased taxation and entitlements just because some people can't keep pace? Perhaps we should all live meal-to-meal and sleep on the ground? Oh, I know because then there'd be 'equality and social justice'.

The main advantages of European culture and civilization are the production and use of weapons in organized warfare, coupled with skill in organizing society to exploit the lower classes at home and the colonies abroad.
