That is the most excellent point to date! I think you've thought of THE WAY to get Michael to contradict himself in a court of law! Ping your lists, everybody!

On one of the threads I remember reading that the feeding tube was put in because the nurses requested it for the sake of convenience. If that's true, though, it would imply that Terri had been able to eat from a spoon and the caretakers just didn't want to spend that much time with her? In either case, it is very suspicious!

I too remember reading on one of the previous threads that the feeding tube wasn't put in till just a few years ago, that she had been fed by the staff before that.

I did e-mail Larry King's show and not only asked that question, but said I'd like to see what a lie detector test would show if they asked Michael, "If you, Michael, were in Terri's exact situation now, would you want your unfaithful spouse to be making your medical decisions for you?" I don't know if that'll ever happen - I doubt it, but I'd sure like to see the look on his face just for the asking. I have only been following Terri's case for 2 weeks - first heard about it on the national news when her g-tube was pulled. I hadn't heard of any reasons for why Michael had put in the tube. I thought that alone sounded like he was the one who had then violated her wishes and instructions, her constitutional rights, etc... He's trying to turn the tables on the Governor and legislators now, but he needs the tables turned on him. The crazy things that this man has been doing like that ( the g-tube put in, then pulled out ), plus not allowing her family to see her, etc... makes him look very unstable minded to me personally. Terri's case is very sensitive to me and my family here in MN ( as you all know by now, we have a 9 year old son who has cerebral palsy and a g-tube ). I feel so strongly about the rights of disabled individuals that until I know she is absolutely safe and sound with a new guardian, etc... that I will never stop advocating for her rights.
