Without sources I would not even bother with it. The US had a massive debt during/right after the revolution, Civil War, WWI and WWII so Reagan was not the first. A president has no powers over passing a budget, it is constitutionally done by the House of Representitves (BTW - was democratic during Reagan's terms). A president has no control over interest rates. Most of the rest are personal attacks.

Correct. As a matter of fact, Mr. Reagan offered eight budget proposals (one each year for two terms), Congress ignored each one (going so far as to ceremoniously dump them in a trash can some years), and each year Congress offered budget proposals higher than what Mr. Reagan proposed. In order to get the military overhaul necessary for the final showdown in the Cold War, he had to compromise somewhat with the democrats. They returned the favor by stabbing him in the back with their baseless and idiotic drivel.

And, let's not forget, Mr. Reagan inherited the worst economy since the 1930's upon entering office. Has any president faced a worse situation upon taking office since maybe Lincoln? When FDR came in we were in a depression, but we were not threatened in a global Cold War situation with a nuclear force. Reagan faced both, essentially, and defeated both.

The record of the journalistic manipulations in the Nixon and Clinton impeachments--and in covering for vote fraud in the 1960 Kennedy victory and making Florida 2000 as close and judicially contested as it was--is perfectly clear to liberals.

Under Mr. Roosevelt, hundreds of thousands of American citizens were jailed, simply because of their nationality. Among Mr. Roosevelt's friends were "Uncle Joe" Stalin - the greatest butcher in modern history. There were Soviet spies in his administration. And oh yeah, we gave away half of Europe to the Soviets, in exchange for their promise to enter the war against Japan. (The USSR declared war on Japan just weeks before Japan surrendered to the US.)
