At 2 P.M. on October 15, the State of Florida surgically removed the feeding tube from a conscious and otherwise alert human being. Her name is Terri Schiavo. Her unfaithful husband, acting as her legal 'guardian' demanded and received a court directive to end Terri's life through the intentional deprivation of food and water - staving her to death.

The entire establishment structure in Florida from the governor to the local sheriff, from newspapers and television to organized religion, have actively and passively supported this barbaric torture to end the life of a woman whose only 'fault' is she can not speak in her own behalf.

May Jeb be made to rid his office of a million of the packages. I have a mailing list of over 6,000 addresses of like minded men and women I've gathered since 1982, when I first plugged in my first computer. I've spent the day sending them the message at the top of this tread, and I'm not through yet. Of course, some have changed their url's, but an overwhelming number are getting through.

Seems like a package of jello will be received in a more positive fashion message than a threat, but it bears the same weight : Change the way your running this country. We're watching you, and we don't like the way you're doing business in our name.

Certainly the medical workers share the blame. No one can force a doctor, nurse or technician to remove a feeding tube. Are they afraid of losing their jobs? Personally, I'd rather lose my job than be guilty of murdering an innocent and helpless person put in my charge. Especially after swearing an oath to do no harm and to preserve life.

I don't have a very high opinion of judges in Sacramento.

The Constitutions, basically, gives the three branches equal power. Nothing in it says that judges are infallible or omnipotent, if they do something criminal.

As head of the executive branch Jeb Bush certainly has the power to intervene, using law enforcement officers or the state national guard. It would raise a political firestorm, but it would certainly stop Terri from being murdered.

It's time to bring these matters to a head. Which is more important, Jeb Bush risking his career, or finally doing something about these tyrannical, death-dealing judges? I believe the people would side with Bush in this matter if he acted resolutely.

My question is, how can the citizens of Florida rid themselves of this murdering judge Greer? Is he elected? If so, when is he next up for a vote? And if the election is one of these phony "Missouri Plan" things where the incumbent's is the only name on the ballot, who is collecting funds to defeat his retention? Otherwise, what is being done to recruit his replacement?

The judiciary has been out of control for far too long. It operates under its own rules, set by the bar associations with no input from the citizens. Those rules allow judges to skate by stating their views, and prevent us from knowing anything about whether they will follow the law or invent their own as they go along.

California dumped Chief Justice Rose Bird several years ago, and Tennessee did the same for one of its Supreme Court associate justices who consistently voted against capital punishment also. Florida needs to take a turn at it.

As for Jeb Bush, if he violates the law he could be removed from office. As the chief executive of the state, he has less freedom of action than a non-officeholder. For example, look what happened to FORMER chief justice Roy Moore in Alabama. He got a lot of publicity, but in the end accomplished nothing.
