Despite multiple attempts by CNN host Jake Tapper to seemingly embarrass the Trump administration with their response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) during Sundays State of the Union, U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams schooled him on the facts. Tapper even questioned if President Trump was even listening to the advice of medical professionals, only to be told the multiple doctors in the room were not being suppressed.

Tapper being ass.
Weve done 1500 tests. Even the folks in the Washington nursing home werent all tested until yesterday.
Soth Korea has done over 100,000 tests.
Why is an outbreak political?
POS being POS
And a majority of the tests we have done so far came up negative. And we had the ability to do a few more tests.
A miscommunication made states think they were not allowed to send samples into CDC. CDC never had a rule against samples, and as CDC has said — NO sample was ever refused. They have now made it clear to everybody that testing can be requested and will be done.
Not that it matters now — every state is now prepped to do testing themselves, so if you doctor tells you you cannot be tested, that is a state problem; more likely the doctor is doing standard doctoring and doesn’t believe you are worth wasting a test on.
Testing is now entirely up to doctors, and I suppose insurance companies. Exchange insurance, and medicaid and medicare, will cover testing entirely. i would think that this would also hit every other insurance, but I’ve read some comments that suggest we need the house and senate to do something to make that happen.
But I don’t understand why they did not simply include something in the 8 billion dollar bill that said all CovID testing would be paid for by the federal government for the next 6 months. At the moment, it is entirely in the national interest that we over-test, and so it is a reasonable government expense.
I’m waiting for the day one of the guests decides enough is enough and pummels one of these hosts on live TV.
What is a test going to do? Washington had access to all the tests they needed, if they didnt take the tests and send them in its the state government who is the problem, not the feds. Good grief, its not like the test is going to cure the darn virus.
Jake Tapper is morphing into Fredo, with that nonstop, pained expression.
Good grief, its not like the test is going to cure the darn virus.
+++++
No it wont. But it will tell us what has to be done to slow and eventually stop the spread of the virus. Personally I think that the slow start of testing is unfortunate but hardly the disaster that the Marxist Stream Media is pushing.
If testing really ramps up and is widespread we could come out of this OK. The reason is that right now the number of cases we know about are relatively small - in the hundreds.
But it really needs to ramp up quickly to allow self-quarantining of those who are infected. That should be possible. It will slow the spread of the virus that is currently doubling every 2-3 days.
And Im betting the travel restrictions are going to have to ramp up. Italy is certainly a candidate. A tough decision for Trump but he should do it. At the minimum we need to test everyone getting off a plane from Italy.
They are invited precisely because what they will say is known and is "appreciated."
“Tapper even questioned if President Trump was even listening to the advice of medical professionals...”
Tapper is not interested in the answer, he merely wants his network to run the video of only what I have in quotations, and for his viewers, the question is the answer.
Tapper went on to suggest that the President was trying to 'keep the numbers low' and that that was a 'p.r. decision' and not a 'health decision.
The dumbass doesn't understand that 'keeping the numbers low' means that less people become infected. That is the ultimate 'health decision'.
The derps will say ANYTHING.
Coronavirus scare has seemingly, and hopefully temporarily, upstaged politically correct global warming alarmism imo.
Also, the said 14 day incubation period of Coronavirus which is regarded as contagious gives the virus a stealth aspect compared with the flu imo.
Corrections, insights welcome.
"Nevermind that s__t, here comes Mongo!"
Washington had no tests until YESTERDAY for those at the nursing home facility.
Our testing has been weeks behind the curve. CDC sent out 50 tests to each state and then told them not to use them because they were flawed.
What good does testing do??
South Korea has tested 140,000 people. Testing helps in that people know if they have COVID19 or not and they can be quarantined.
"Dr. can you tell us how Trump has screwed this up?"
Prior to this weekend, ALL testing had to be subject to CDC criteria.
And that criteria included travel to China and/or known contact with a certified infected person.
