Pelosi 'abusing' her role as speaker w/ impeachment inquiry, failing to give Trump due process

House Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Doug Collins told Fox News on Sunday that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has "abused" her role with her treatment of the impeachment inquiry into President Trump, claiming the president won't receive "due process" over a whistleblower's claim he improperly pushed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a July phone call to investigate Joe Biden and his son Hunter, who served on the board of an energy company in Ukraine.

"We saw Speaker Pelosi abuse her oath of office, if you would, by abusing the role of the speaker by saying an impeachment inquiry had started and they were sending it to the Intelligence Committee where you have a gentleman who has a habit of lying about the facts, [Rep. Adam] Schiff," Collins, R-Ga., told host Maria Bartiromo on "Sunday Morning Futures." "They have decided to walk down a path in which they are in contrary to American values. They're not going to allow this president to have due process. They're not going to be fair. They're going to ramrod this thing through."

Collins also said Trump was "not in jeopardy of being removed from office. He's in jeopardy of having to continue that onslaught of lies and attacks and half-truths from a one-sided investigation in the House."

The house repukes new about the changes by Piglosy long ago and have said Nothing about it until now. The “script” of “nothing we repukes can do” is getting old.

The whistleblower should be called first to testify. In public.

Due process must occur in the Senate.

Nancy and 217 idiots can vote irrationally to impeach in the House.

The President can end this nightmare with Pardons and other constitutional processes.

The House can vote to impeach based on the White House transcript or because Nancy Pelosi had a bad feeling about DJT.

The whistleblower admits to relying on hearsay I understand.

The presidential pardon power is not available in cases of impeachment.

We are impeaching Trump because he beat Hillary in the election.

Pres. Trump will get due process in the senate. I’m sure his lawyers are already drawing up lists of witnesses to depose and documents to be declassified.

The Democrats may not have gotten people to talk because those people deserve to lose their security clearances and ability to make big money.

Would you hire a disloyal person?

“Due process” would be a vote by the House to inquire.
But she want’s to protect her Members from that.
And the media wants to help her.

If Trump gets impeached, Trump’s lawyers can subpoena people Joe Biden would like not to talk.

Is there any shareholder of Burisma that is upset enough over Hunter’s deal to sue?

A shareholder lawsuit would allow for a high quality investigation of Hunter’s activities.

Keep it going, I want to see this “whistleblower’s” testimony. It will be funny when they ask him what he witnessed and he has to say, “Well, I heard people talking about....” Citing the rumor mill is really make him credible, especially when he has to answer the question, “So you never actually saw any of this yourself?” It’ll be great when they ask him what kind of material evidence he has, too. To be a whistleblower, ya kinda need to be there!

I was addressing Piglosy’s “rules” change that omits republican participation in the impeachment procedure , and the while blower change to allow second hand info by another agency. Both done recently with repuke knowledge and silence in these changes.

There was an article recently in Conservative Treehouse (linked on FR yesterday) about the new rules--it sounds like the Democrats can interview their witnesses and draw up articles of impeachment without any Republicans present.

It may be that Pelosi just wants a vote to impeach in the House thinking this will damage Trump enough to cause him to lose in 2020, and assuming that the media will sway the public into thinking what the Democrats are doing is legitimate. If she can lure a couple of anti-Trump Republicans in the House to vote with the Democrats they can pretend it is bipartisan.

I was thinking the same thing about all the Bush-admin employees that were turning over after his first term was done (which ALWAYS happens despite the MSM going, “They’re leaving in droves, it must be AWFUL to work there!!”). These guys were quitting and immediately talking to the press about how it was so awful to work there, it was total chaos, no leadership, they were pressed to lie about everything, etc. Yeah, buddy, I’d sure want to hire you if I ran Lockheed or some high-dollar consulting firm. I’d ask them in the interview, “When you left your post, you immediately ran to the press and couldn’t trash your boss and organization fast enough. Why WOULDN’T you do it to us, too? Why should we think you’re a highly desirable candidate after pulling that stunt?” Nobody trusts a turncoat, their only purpose is to be exploited like the short-term prostitute that they are.

This “whistleblower” is going to find out the hard way, just like Stormy Daniels, that turning your life upside down and putting your family through hell is nowhere near worth the envelope of $100 bills they gave you. Once you accept it, they OWN you until they say you’re done. Once they’re done, you can’t get a job waiting tables. Your only hope is a job in some back-office because somebody feels sorry for you.

Yes, they can, and they can live with the consequences of such actions.
