Operatives and organizers warn that Democrats are doing little to mobilize a key constituency that the president is targeting aggressively.
Democratic presidential candidates are squandering a critical early opportunity to mobilize Latino voters ahead of 2020, potentially easing Donald Trump’s path to reelection, according to leading Latino political operatives in battleground states.
Interviews with more than a dozen strategists and organizers revealed rising alarm at the lack of attention being paid to Latinos in swing states where they could decide the outcome of the Democratic primary and the general election. Trump is counting on a slice of the Latino electorate to back him, announcing aggressive outreach plans to keep states like Florida in his column.
But if Democrats fail to counter those efforts — by energizing younger Latinos and reaching members of the community who feel estranged by the president — those voters may simply sit out the election, the operatives told POLITICO.
Nevada, for example, is wide open for the taking. But despite the state’s envied third spot on the Democratic primary calendar, operatives on the ground say White House hopefuls are all but ignoring the voting bloc that could put them over the top.

Fist of all, MY ancestors were LATIN, not the folks being referred to here.
Second, the individual “latino” seems to be liking Trump to the tune of possibly even 40 percent.
These “Latino Leaders” are likely just the usual gang of Illegal Alien enablers who anoint themselves as leaders. Kinda like how Al Sharpton is nothing but a two-bit race pimp, but the media calls him a community leader.
More reason to pull out all the stops and reelect President Trump.
Which, of course, means that Trump is doing well for the country.

There is a Latinos for Trump organization that is starting to be pretty active, kicked off their El Paso branch with a meeting and small rally in El Paso recently. They also have several people who video live from places like the border and post it on youtube and social media. That group at least is trying to get off the ground and spread the word. They are spreading the word to Latinos what is going on at the border and with other issues.
The funniest thing is how triggered the white socialists are by Latinos for Trump. It is hilarious, they literally froth at the mouth.
I’m guessing Latino leaders aren’t liking higher employment rates among their population. They tend to lose their control over them.
LEGAL Latinos would be fools not to vote (again) for President Trump! He is trying his level best to keep ILLEGAL Latinos, etc. OUT of America.
If I stood in line to become an American, I would be spittin’ mad that all of these posers get a free ride and no consequences for going the ILLEGAL route!
I would think that immigrants that are here LEGALLY would be swinging from the rafters DEMANDING an end to illegal immigrants!

My ancestors came here from Mexico-in the late 1700’s, when Texas was still Spanish territory-my family voted for JFK, but being ranch people, they hated LBJ-no one votes for democrats any more-LBJ was the start of that...
I live on the border in New Mexico and what I see is Hispanics that have been here generations- some were here before it was the US, and others that came later legally- and others who may or may not be legal even now but are part of the community. Those from families that have been here, and those that came legally even fairly recently are pretty conservative and many of them have a deep hatred for the dims. Very vocal against illegal immigration.
The others tend to support dims and follow the Hispanic groups that support open borders and illegal immigration.
It is really funny to see a dim run across the conservative Hispanics and get an earful. They simply cannot believe what they are hearing.
