The authors didn't mention the 'Economic Distress' level under Obama. So the number there (distress level at 23, 32, or whatever) is (somewhat) meaningless, because readers won't get a sense of the historical values.
Again, it emphasized that unchecked illegal immigration and upholding the rule of law of this land is topmost for Trump supporters.

“The president is less popular than overall growth would predict.”
They surveyed everyone working in the NY Times office to come to this conclusion!

Actually Limbaugh sort of touched on this but from a slightly different angle last week. He was saying something about this was the first recovery and time of low unemployment he’s experienced that people need to be reminded of how well they are doing rather than simply experiencing it.

The 2016 election is almost two years behind us, but arguments over why Donald Trump won havent stopped. Because Mr. Trump drew support from white voters with less formal education the white working class many attributed his victory to Americans economic anxiety. But this narrative has obscured the true nature of Mr. Trumps coalition. On the whole, Trump voters were never extraordinarily economically distressed. And now the economically distressed are actually less likely to approve of Mr. Trumps performance as president.
WOW! Talk about packing 10 lbs of BS in a 5 Lb bag. That was only 4 sentences. The NYT is improving its efficiency in the opinion columns. They have a formula now. Squeeze in the premise concisely right out of the gate. Then message some logic to lull the lemmings off the cliff and frogs into the pot.

Because Mr. Trump drew support from white voters with less formal education the white working class many attributed his victory to Americans economic anxiety I surpassed the education of these two "jernalists" in my sophomore year in high school.

Economic Anxiety Didnt Elect Trump and It May Hurt His Party in the Midterms
Or not. Stupid premise, stupid propaganda organ. Trump WAS elected over economic anxiety, China’s been eating our lunch. Trump campaigned on changing that paradigm. Revisionist history from the Goebbles media of record.

“Economic anxiety...”
My patootie...
All it will take...is for people to check their retirement account balance just before leaving for the voting booth. Yes, it may’ve dropped slightly yesterday. But, compare it to the balance in 2016.

You’ve got to give the NYT a hand. It takes extremely warped minds to search and “find” anti-Trump ingredients in every story.
I’m surprised they didn’t slip in at least one daily climate change story in there and link it to Trump.
Oh well, the day is long, and the hurricane just passed in Florida.
Tick, tick, tick.

Do these jernalists not realize that during Obama's reign, COLLEGE EDUCATED whites were working as clothing store salesmen and managers. They were coffee shop baristas! The "educated" part did not mean CRAP to the economy that was stagnating for 6+ years after it finished bottoming out after Bush!
I swear that these people write this type of SH!T to convince themselves, more so than try to convince us!

All the propaganda that’s fit to print. Never an honest objective analysis. That’s the motto of the New York Times — the one they don’t dare admit.
