BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) — Democratic U.S. Sen. Patrick Leahy of Vermont says he believes that if Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh is seated, it would diminish the confidence Americans should have in the court.
Leahy, a member of the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee, made the comments Monday in his Burlington office before flying back to Washington.
He said questions that arose during the confirmation process about an alleged sexual assault in high school and bad behavior in college demonstrate what happens when "you try to rush through a judicial nominee."
Leahy said he believes the allegations against Kavanaugh are "completely credible" and that he hopes the nomination ultimately fails....

That miserable, old reprobate has been diminishing the Senate for years. Got kicked off the Senate intelligence (there’s an oxymoron for you) committing for divulging and leaking secret material. What a disgrace he is. He shouldn’t be on the judicial committee. The only committee he should be on is the one in charge of cleaning the toilet bowls. What a moron.
Leaky Leahy has diminished the Senate for decades.

A thought: the Left has abused the concept of stare decisis and legal idolatry of the Court to advance their agenda.
Now that the Court may shift against them they may need to undermine that. Sothey can say, ineffect, the current Court lacks the stature to challenge or reverse the earlier.
Rush just stated Kavanaugh finished first in his class in High School, Yale and Law school. Yeah right - a guy like this would only improve ANYWHERE he goes. He is a true patriot and public servant.

Leaky Leahy has diminished the Senate by a wide margin. So many losers on the dimoKKKRAT side.
Maybe Leahy can remind us of how Ted Kennedy stunk up the Senate. Kennedy murdered a young woman with his car. Leahy never made any kind of issue out of Kennedy’s criminal behavior, yet is condemning Judge Kavanaugh with no evidence whatsoever. Leahy has a very difficult time staying sober long enough to utter a complete sentence according to his reputation among his peers.
Given how Leahy has so thoroughly diminished the U.S. Senate and all public servants, maybe he knows.
Nah, he’s just being a partisan hack, as usual, and continuing to bury the reputation of the Senate and everyone there.
