Defiance?
Part of it, but it goes much much deeper than that.

Please God, spare us the idiotic notions of professors and editorial writers, neither of which have ever accomplished anything in their lives except to write about others.

Defiance is Donald J. Trump's signature attitude; it was the defining characteristic of the 2016 Trump campaign. Trump defied the political establishment, the news media, conventional wisdom, common decency, former President George W. Bush, Senator John McCain (R-Ariz.), former GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney and even the pope.I like how he snuck common decency in the mix. Jerk!

The American tradition is not deference to authority; it’s defiance of authority, even when the cause is hopeless.
Balderdash. The democrat/republican uniparty has been in control of American politics since the civil war. And they win election after election after election.
Politics is a scam and were suckers for playing.

There is zero appetite for the Never Trump movement in the Republican Party of today, an adviser to a pro-Trump super PAC told the New York Times....
Hmm....

Such a move would instantly destroy the norm, established after the Watergate scandal, that the a Republican White House should never use law enforcement agencies to go after political enemies. The norm" that has been destroyed is that conservatives believe that the news is both true and important. We now know that the news" is not always true, and if true it is not infrequently a half-truth. And we are aware that we are getting uniform stories from all journalists because they are all, via the AP, in league with each other.

Hmmm, I don’t feel defiant but if the MSM thinks I am I must be because they are so much smarter and informed than me, >s<
I love DT because I love my country and I want to MAGA.

I agree. Defiance against totalitarianism. Defiance against fascism. Defiance against tyranny. Defiance against loss of our inalienable rights and our right to live in the pursuit of happiness.

The clueless class who found themselves in total shock on the night of the election are still trying to explain to the rest of us what’s behind the Trump phenomena. We’re talking about the same people who saw Trump drawing 20,000 - 30,000 people to his rallies on a daily basis, sometimes two or three times a day, and were still convinced Hillary would win by a landslide.

Trump's supporters admire his defiance, which they see as fearlessness. They share his contempt for the establishment, the news media, educated elites and the norms of political correctness, all of which helps explain why Trump's base is sticking with him now that he has antagonized the entire national establishment.
That sociologist has no clue. And neither do he people at NBC news.

I wouldn’t call it defiance, i would call it common sense, something that is dying in our country, plus this crap of “ don’t say anything you might hurt someone’s feelings”... I will stand with Pres. Trump 100% on any and everything he does!!!

,,,,, remember how the DC voters did not abandon Mayor Berry and he was caught on video smoking crack .
Trump has not been proven guilty of anything to date but he has been slandered every way you can imagine and just like Marion Berry’s supporters we are standing by our man through and thin .

Trump is despised by
"respected Republicans like ... George W. Bush"?? Oh, now that Dubya has snarked on Trump, suddenly he's "respected"? They called him Chimpy, Shrub, the Drunk, the Idiot, a Moron for 8 years, then they spent another 8 years blaming everything on him including the weather, and now, suddenly, he's a respected statesman?
Give me a break, please, I can't even...
