Senate Republicans have included $1.6 billion for the first installment of President Trumps border wall in the new homeland security spending bill released Tuesday, keeping the presidents marquee immigration plan on track.
While avoiding the term wall, the Senate bill calls for $1.6 billion in funding for physical barriers and border roads matching Mr. Trumps original request for money to build or repair fencing along 74 more miles of the U.S.-Mexico line....

About darned time.
Go Trump. Go GOP. And to all of those who have been fighting this effort.
About darned time, we have Americans in charge once again.
Finally a little backbone in the GOP.
Well now ... isn’t that interesting. Did something put the fear of God in Turtleface?
1.6 billion...what a crock
They gave Ogabe a blank check. An extra 20+ trillion dollars over 8 years with NOTHING to show for it.
Treason trials and hangings on the national mall
Maybe the Senate is starting to understand:
We the People ARE NOT SENDING SENATORS TO DC TO BE IN PART OF A FANCY COUNTRY CLUB WITH FINANCIAL PERKS... IT’S A JOB... AND WE THE PEOPLE WANT YOU THE SENATORS TO DO THE JOB FOR US - THE PEOPLE WHO ELECT YOU AND PAY FOR YOUR SALARY AND PERKS.
Do the job you were hired to do. Pay for the Wall, Secure the Borders, Cut Taxes, Reform InsuranceCare, DoctorCare or WhatEverIt’sCalled.
These people are pathetic. 1.6 is a joke. 20 to build the entire wall is nothing compared to the 150 ANNUAL cost of supporting illegals.
True and what’s the interest on the 10 trillion dollar debt they added under O’muslim, 100 billion plus?
These aholes need to be brought to justice.
McConnell’s double fail to sink Moore must be giving him the pucker effect....
Were NOT fooled RINOs! $1.6 billion is PEANUTS. We need to make sure that no open-border globalists win Senate primary elections in 2018. Support Bannon vetted/endorsed candidates only. Hopefully there will be no states in 2018 where the Republican primary has a Bannon endorsed candidate and a DIFFERENT Senate Conservatives Fund endorsed candidate. We need to unite before the primaries and not split the patriot/conservative vote between candidates allowing a RINO to get the nomination.
