The Republican Party likes to think of itself as a big tent not always a harmonious one, but full of all types.
In the minds of many, however, its grown too full, and badly needs an excision. Now more than at any point in its modern history, the party has reached such a breaking point that historians, political analysts and Republicans themselves say it faces the possibility of splintering and spawning a third party.
We havent lanced the boil, Stephen K. Bannon, President Trumps former chief strategist, said in an interview, evoking the swelling tensions between the anti-establishment agitators like himself, who mostly align with Mr. Trump, and the partys ruling class in Washington, which seems to grow more mistrustful of the president by the day.
They all thought they were going to lance the boil the day after the election, when they had the catastrophic Trump defeat, Mr. Bannon added. And thats when all accounts would be settled.
Instead, Mr. Trumps election has continued to vex his party. The partnership and cooperation that would ordinarily flow from one-party control in Washington are virtually nonexistent, leaving the president and his party with very few legislative victories so far. And his lack of political loyalty or ideological mooring he stunned Republicans by striking a short-term fiscal deal with Democrats last week has left Washington guessing about which new alliance or policy U-turn might come next.....

Wishful thinking on the Times part. We are going to see the Trumpidization of the GOP.
a third party would be a gift to the Democrats and guarantee a bonafide socialist party.
What I’ve been saying for the last few months. Now is the time. When there is enthusiasm for a leader-Trump- and disgust with the existing parties.
There’s the UNIPARTY and there’s something else.
If anybody splits it’ll be the Democrats. You have no idea how much the Bernie people hate the Hillary folks and the other way around.
Trump needs to endorse a suite of MAGA candidates to primary RINOs.
Amen. We can’t change the GOPe, but we can sure replace them. And it needs to be done before the Trumpistas in place get sucked into the elitist mindset/lifestyle.
The Rats have near lock on 47% of the vote in a Presidential election. I hate the GOPe but a third party gaurentees another Rat POTUS I think. The only way out of this is to Primary these bastards starting with Stange in Al in a couple of weeks.
The globalist Free Traitors need to leave the Republican Party and form the own party, the Internationalist Party.
Third party is going to be a leftist break-off from the Dems.
Their fundraising is anemic.
They have no youth.
Their base is way to the left.
We need new Republicans.
The ones we have represent illegal aliens and their employers, not the citizens and the rule of law.
Alexander, Corker, Flake, Graham, Hatch, Heller, Hoeven, Murkowsky, McCain, Rubio, Gardner, Burr, Tillis, Portman, McConnell, Thune, Cornyn, Cochran, Isackson, Blunt, Johnson, Toomey, Capito, Rounds, Fischer, Collins, Wicker, Sasse, Ernst, Young, Boozman and Shelby are all undocumented Democrats in R jerseys
The first sentence is true.
The others just hyperbole and rhetoric.
I am in complete agreement... The NY Slimes are hoping for a third party so that they can ensure a potential Democrat victory. But as the saying goes... ‘Be careful what you wish for’.
The more likely of the two political standards headed for division is the Democrat party.... Many Democrats are in fact conservative in nature. Bill and Hillary are probably the best examples. They were elected as left of centre liberals and ended up as moderate conservatives... As liberal as they are, they are far more conservative than most Democrats and Bernie and his alt-left wingers were just as responsible for Hillary’s demise as Hillary herself.
The first ten names all voted for amnesty.
They are not on the side of the citizens and the rule of law.
More would have voted for it, but their votes weren’t needed.
Instead of that, he endorses Luther Strange.
No, we’re working to form a SECOND party with a coalition of conservatives and nationalists (all ethnicities, “races,” and colors welcome).
Then we plan to execute the murdering, raping, thieving, uni-party tyrants leading the global socialist movement, after they are tried by military tribunals for treason and crimes against humanity.
Trumpidization?
Trumpideedoodah, trumpideeday.
Lol!
Both major parties are a Uniparty controlled by big corporations and big banks that are liberal on social issues and liberal on moving people across borders.
Why do guys like Roy Moore end up losing their job twice as Chief Justice in Alabama?
Because of the power of big business. Governor Bentley wouldn’t back up Moore on gay marriage in AL saying he feared for the ability of Alabama residents to have jobs.
