"Never Trump" may be getting a facelift for 2020.
Bill Kristol, editor-at-large of the Weekly Standard, said he has initiated informal talks about creating a "Committee Not to Renominate the President."
"We need to take one shot at liberating the Republican Party from Trump, and conservatism from Trumpism," Kristol told the New York Times.
After the story was published Saturday afternoon, Kristol shared it on Twitter, with the message: "The task in 2020: 'Liberating the Republican Party from Trump, and conservatism from Trumpism.'"
Kristol's disapproval of Trump dates back to the campaign, when the "Never Trumper" pushed for Evan McMullin's longshot independent campaign. During the campaign, Trump referred to Kristol as a "loser."

Go have your fun...
We’ll elect him as an independent if we have to,.
I like him being in charge of the GOP, though, and tell them we won;t support RINO’s in the primaries.
Kristol is deranged.
The real danger to the GOP is Bill Kristol.
If he thinks the GOP will advance, or even last, promoting insiders and RINOS, he’s a fool.
My litmus test on a great leader. You hear squawking from every union, every liberal, every talking head, every RINO, every bureaucrat, every entrenched politician... Donald Trump passes the squawk test.
Does Kristol know that Lincoln won a second term as the National Union candidate, not as a Republican?
Dump McMaster!
What has TRUMP done to upset Conservatives? We got our Supreme Court Justice, TRUMP wants to repeal Obamacare but it is the Senate that is the problem!
TRUMP has basically catered to Conservatives!
Boo hoo! So WTF cares if TRUMP is a GANGSTER & doesn't act Presidential! I think that is the stupid malfunction in Kristols brain, that TRUMP isn't Presidential!!!
his father, Irving Kristol was a communist (trotskyite) and founded the Neocons. The Neocons now are really nothing more than the PR firm for the defense industry.
Good luck Willy.
To paraphrase Groucho Marx, “I refuse to join any club that would have bill krystal as a member.
President Trump has done more to push the conservative agenda than Kristol and his band of RINOS have ever done. They talk and talk conservatism, but when it comes time for action these people disappear and sellout to the globalists. Kristol is a weasel who needs to be investigated along with all the other RINO globalists. It certainly isn’t just the Clintons selling this nation out. Kristol and his band of losers have certainly got crap they’re hiding too.
Go ahead Kristol, you buffoon. Why don’t you throw your support around a candidate with real potential...like Evan McMullin?
I recently cancelled my years-long subscription to The Weekly Standard, since any publication foolish enough to have Bill Kristol as an editor is too ridiculous to merit my subscription.
That sure won’t work! You think we will stand for that? Not hardly!
Electing Trump was getting people like you out of the system. All of you have made such a mess of things, we had to do it to save our Republic! You are too low in sense to realize we were losing everything... Doing it your way is a disaster.. and you can’t see it!
You can move to another country any time... you’re free to leave.
And take that plan of yours and shove it!
Do these “Never Trumper” buffoons realize the Left hates Pence as much as Trump?
How’d that work out for you last time, Mr. K?
McMuffin-McCheese 2020!
>The National Union Party was created in 1864 prior to the end of the Civil War. A faction of anti-Lincoln Radical Republicans held the belief that Lincoln was incompetent, and therefore could not be re-elected. A number of Radical Republicans formed a party called the Radical Democracy Party, and a few hundred delegates in Cleveland starting on May 31, 1864, eventually nominating John C. Frémont, who had also been the Republicans’ first presidential standard-bearer during the 1856 U.S. presidential election.<
Does this sound familiar?
The neocon wing really wants rid of Trump.
He threatens their plans.
