Vanity - Should Mitch McConnell & Paul Ryan resign?
Posted on 07/18/2017 12:24:57 PM PDT by JLAGRAYFOX
Both Mitch McConnell & Paul Ryan are total failures at leadership and, are 100% "Never Trumpers". I ask you good folks this simple question. Should both Mitch McConnell & Paul Ryan be thrown out by their own caucuses or plainly be forced to resign immediately?

Why not.
Let someone else take a shot at it.

The question answers itself...

My visceral reaction is yes, but their replacements would be no better.

To resign is only the first step they should take.
The next step involves a sharp object from Japan.

Resign and leave the country.

Sure, hey, almost anyone has to be better.
I nominate Canadian Ted Cruz for Senate Majority leader. I have to think about the best possible Speaker.

Why would they resign? They think they’re doing a great job.

Yes, of course they should be gone. Including gone from government.
And the Freedom Caucus ought to be tougher in their stances and far more circumspect in making deals to replace the House leadership; Ryno got in because of them last time.
Both Mitch McConnell & Paul Ryan are total failures at leadership
Context matters. As far as being left-wing obstructionist RINOs, they excel at leading to the effect of pushing the shared agenda with Dems.

If I recall correctly, current Senate leadership is:
1) Mc Turtle 2) Cornyn 3) Lamar Alexander 4) Barrasso 5) Thune
Thus, the top 3 would have to retire (or be appointed by Trump to cabinet posts or lucrative ambASSadorships), for anyone with an ounce of conservatism to emerge.

That would be OK but I’d rather see them commit suicide to atone for their dishonor - Seppuku on the Capital steps.

The more yes votes we can muster, the more we can be sure the American people got this McConnell/Ryan hate trump gig wired. One hundred fifty would be fine...but two hundred would be marvelous for a “Vanity”.
