DALLAS -- Texas Senator Ted Cruz and Donald Trump Jr. will headline the Reagan Day Dinner hosted by the Dallas County Republican's Party Saturday evening.
The event will take place at the Omni Hotel in downtown Dallas and includes a meet and greet with Republican leaders and dinner. Attendees have to purchase tickets starting at $150 and going up to $25,000.
This is the second meeting between the Trump family and Ted Cruz in recent weeks. Senator Cruz and his wife recently had dinner with President Trump, tweeting a photo of the Cruz family's children with the President afterwards.
The Rothschilds didn’t send them here on a lark.
He is a reliable conservative vote, on the SCOTUS or Senate and appears to be a fighter, that’s good for me. I personally don’t care for though, how some portray him as “Mr. Conservative”, this kind of bugs me. There are a number of people who are without Levine’s checklist conservatism. The convention wasn’t right either. But nonetheless, he seems trustworthy on voting the right way.
Save your lecture. I’m not the one who asked a conservative if they were sunni or shiite.
“To each his own. If he stepped foot on my property, I would call the police and file a complaint for trespassing.”
Wow,think a lot of yourself, think Cruz even knows who the hell you are much less where you live!
“Im inclined to agree with you. When we first started hearing about Cruz, I contacted a friend down in TX.
She was NOT recommending him.”
Not recommending him for what?
Lol. And what a dumbazz way to form an opinion of someone, particularily a political figure. “My friend says this or that about him...”
Cobra is concerned that lefties and RINOs in the House and Senate don’t like Sen Cruz. Lol.
Yes, I think you’re right. Cruz was the biggest critic of ObamaCare, and for Trump to dine with this family at this time is a strong signal that Ryancare is not going to pass.
Remember, Ryan himself (as Speaker) may be secretly hoping that Ryancare doesn’t pass. But his act must play out. The RINOs need to face reality and if Ryan can’t pass it through the House, then some minds have to change.
“Give it a rest. You just missed a great opportunity to shut up. Are you a shiite or a sunni?
What a strange response. I did in fact lose my enthusiasm for Cruz during the election... he was ineffective, and he proved to be all for himself and not a team player.
Your rather rude response didn’t help matters either.”
Not a team player?
That’s my problem here. You “hate Cruz” guys are like the Hatfields and McCoys. Shiites and Sunnis. Where’s the team work?
Cruz is unquestionably one of the strongest, if not the strongest anti-establishment conservatives in the House or Senate. He has proven it.
So if Cruz and Trump are willing to work together, why keep fanning the flames of bitterness?
Team work, Jungle.
There was a boy, many many years ago that came to Texas from New York City to see his great-grandfather. He was seven years old. As soon as he got out of the car from the airport, all he wanted to do was play in a big yard of grass around the trees. He had never done that before.
Right then I started appreciating why folks from New York City love coming to the South. I would love to see New York City but I think that a week would be all I could bear.
That was more than 40 years ago.
I’ve taken a few FReeper families out to lunch/dinner in NYC and have an open invite to go down south.
I intend to cash it in and FINALLY see the south.
One of my biggest regrets at 48 is being too much like pop, whom I loved dearly and was a great man.
But if he never left a few square miles in Brooklyn, he would have been happy as a lark.
Hope you make good on your intention.
I will.
Have too many regrets at only 48. Can’t go back in time, so I’ll make sure I don’t add to the list.
“Cobra is concerned that lefties and RINOs in the House and Senate dont like Sen Cruz. Lol.”
And Cobra thinks this is a bad thing, not to many lefties and rinos are liking Trump right not either! I just don’t know why some of these people still act as if the Republican primary is still going on! It’s over, Trump won, now stand with any conservative that is trying to help him!
