Hillary Clinton still is expected to beat Donald Trump in California easily, but the hit to her numbers in recent polling could raise some concerns for her nationally.

In a poll conducted mostly after the revelation by FBI director James Comey about emails found on former Congressman Anthony Weiner’s computer, Clinton’s lead among independent California voters dropped from 25 percent to only 9 percent.

And Clinton, who leads Trump by 17 percent among those who haven’t voted, has only a 21 percent lead overall in the state. That’s down from 26 percent in the previous poll conducted by SurveyUSA and issued Tuesday by Southern California News Group and KABC/Eyewitness News.

The poll was conducted Friday through Monday....

Even without the illegal immigrants California would still be bright blue.

Did Trump spend anything in CA. I think GHWB in 1992 was the first Republican candidate to write off CA from the start. Even Goldwater campaigned there, as he had won the primary over Rockefeller.

If there were no Portland metro area, OR would be viable for Trump.

How awful it would be to live in a state where the people are such morons that they will vote for the most corrupt candidate ever to run for the presidency, the first candidate ever who will be under FBI investigation on Election Day.

California needs to be divided north and south. It is so unfair the commies get that many electoral votes automatically.

True! All you have to do is look at Rosanne Barr’s Twitter. Of course, she’s running for president too.

Waste of money out there. Even the Republicans are neutered out there. How much money are the feds pouring in there? It seems that’s the only reason California is surviving. It can’t be Governor Moonbeam and the far left CA state legislature’s leftist governance.

I believe Trump has a better shot at California than anyone in decades. Remember Californians love their celebrities, and they have seen Trump on tv.

Couple that with all that Hillary is proving to have done, and odds increase even more.

Last and certainly not least, there is no enthusiasm for Clinton in California at all. Very rare are sightings of Hillary signs, a handful of Hillary bumper stickers are to be found but really few and far between. Heck I see more Bernie stickers than Hillary, and even more Obama stickers that have not been replaced by Hillary stickers.

No, I just do not believe California is a slam dunk for Hillary this year. As a matter if fact, if illegal voting activites are kept to a quasi minimum, Trump takes CA. You heard it here!

“Unfortunately my state is too far gone to be saved.”

Not really. We can always dust off the 1867-68 Reconstruction Act and declare California a state in insurrection.

There’s still a lot of good people in CA, I think someday when Hollywood and Silicon Valley is unable to finance the whole mess, it may turn around.

By the time most of them get to the polls after work, exit polls will call it for Trump- FL, VA, ME, NC, PA, GA, in the win column, NY too close to call...
