7 Myths about Trump's 'Doomed' Path to the White House
The National Interest ^ | 8-16-2016 | Peter Navarro

The conventional wisdom doesn’t apply to such an unconventional nominee.

Donald Trump won the Republican presidential nomination in part because his primary campaign message was far more in tune with an angry electorate than that of his rivals. However, Trump’s winning campaign was also helped mightily by a “Fatal Eight” set of miscalculations made by the opposition.

These key mistakes included treating Trump as a mere celebrity rather than a serious candidate, failing to strategically attack the fledgling Trump candidacy in its crib, refusing to recognize that a candidate with a solid base can win in a crowded field even with negatives polling well above 50 percent, and assuming that evangelicals and self-identified conservatives would shun the thrice-married and socially moderate New Yorker.

Today, political elites on both sides of the aisle are once again weaving together a compelling set of “Never Trump” narratives that, taken together, predict a twenty-first-century Goldwater lamb being devoured by a Clinton lion. .....

#2: Clinton Will Run Up The “Tear Down That Wall Mr. Trump” Hispanic Vote

.... The inherent contradiction in Riddell’s reporting—bad Hispanic poll numbers for Trump, great election results—injects a much higher degree of uncertainty into Clinton’s actual level of Hispanic support than Trump’s rhetoric might suggest.

#3: Clinton Will Command the Black Vote

...Trump will bluntly ask black (and brown) Americans whether they are more interested in more welfare checks and food stamps, which Hillary Clinton will happily supply, or whether they want the kind of job opportunities and rising wages a Trump presidency will offer. (See Trump's West Bend, WI speech)

#5: Clinton Will Bury Trump with the Women’s Vote

#6: The Disloyal Republican Opposition Will Sink Trump’s Campaign

The length article is good, jammed packed with facts. Too much material for excerpt. And of course 'destroyed' by online trolls in the comment section, with Hillary landslide assertion and no facts to back them up.

I found the author's arguments against conventional wisdom of the Blacks, Unions, and Women votes are especially heartening.

(Author conclusion)
That said, if Trump simply stays focused on his four aces of the economy, trade, immigration and national security, it is equally true that he will surely play a winning hand. On the other hand, if reporters or the Clinton campaign are able to take Trump off message, his four aces may be beaten by a full house of spin.
Full house of spin, that goes without saying. We, the people, need to help stay focused and spread Trump's message.

It seems every time the wall comes up Trump should ask if Hillary wants heroin to continue to flow over the border into American communities

I agree. Trump talks about the Wall in terms of illegals, but fails to include the drug problem enough. He could do a formal announcement on drugs, citing stats, etc and then link that to The Wall.

We will know the day after the election if Donald’s path is doomed or not. I will vote for Donald and work for him to the extent that I am able. If he makes it, good. If he doesn’t, well... But either way, Donald will not win or lose. If Donald wins-—— America wins. If Donald has the election stolen from him——— America loses.

#6: The Disloyal Republican Opposition Will Sink Trump’s Campaign
**************************

The Cheap Labor Express Republicans will do whatever it takes to stop Trump.
They are not about to allow the citizens to reverse 30 years of bipartisan policy of non-enforcement of laws and borders.
They invited those people here and are not going to let us uphold the laws and send them home.
