Conway: ‘Trump & Cruz Locked in Arms’ Against Establishment ‘Parachute’ Convention Candidate
Breitbart ^ | April 2, 2016 | Michelle Moons

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) PAC leader, president, and pollster Kellyanne Conway joined the Breitbart News Saturday radio program with guest host and Washington political editor Matthew Boyle. Conway discussed the state of the Republican primary, with two strongly anti-establishment candidates leading the race heading into Tuesday’s Wisconsin primary.

Cruz has been surging in Wisconsin recently with the endorsement of the state’s Gov. Scott Walker and two new polls putting Cruz solidly in the lead over GOP delegate count frontrunner Donald Trump.

“Donald Trump’s campaign has had a really rocky week or so and it’s being reflected in the polls,” Conway said during the Saturday radio program on SiriusXM Patriot. “There’s been very little growth for Donald Trump I think over the last seven to ten days Matt. He gets those voters early and they stick with him, they’re very loyal, but the growth opportunity has been the non-Trump vote, not the Trump vote, of late.”

Boyle asked how the Cruz campaign is preparing to prevent the establishment from swooping in with a candidate that is neither of the top two candidates, Trump or Cruz....

They will both make a deal at the convention if Trump doesn’t have 1237 going in.

Oh, dear!

Trump is in first place and has been stuck there since New Hampshire, and he's now showing only a little more growth from already being in the lead? He's doomed!

Doomed, I say!

Doomed!

DOOMED!!!

That was three exclamation points, so it's got to be true!!!

In this election season, I have to point out one detail that would have been obvious in most years: There may be a wee bit of sarcasm hidden in the above post.

DOOMED! We need Jeb! to the rescue!

It would be great to see Cruz and Trump join forces and battle the GOPe at the convention.

I think that’s what their meeting last year was about.

Conway is president of the Keep the Promise I Super-PAC which supports Cruz. It’s main funding was 11 million dollars from hedgefund manager Robert Mercer who also has invested millions of dollars in Breitbart.com and is considerted to be the largest and controlling investor in that site.

So, just more crony business as usual.

Cruz isn't dumb. He will join Trump in controlling the rules, but he will never run with Trump. He'll beat Trump on the floor at the convention.

“Cruz has been surging in Wisconsin recently with the endorsement of the state’s Gov. Scott Walker and two new polls putting Cruz solidly in the lead over GOP delegate count frontrunner Donald Trump.”

Anyone who believes that Cruz is surging because of Marquette polls is in serious friggin’ denial. Marquette polls predicted that Scott Walker would lose the 2014 recall governor election by seven points. Walker won that election by five points. THAT”S A 12 POINT ERROR!!!

Marquette polls are pure garbage.

I don’t want him to run with Trump, although initially I did. Cruz is spoiled goods and Trump can do so much better. I’d like to see him tap Senator Jeff Sessions or Sheriff David Clarke.

They need to unite, but I don’t know what to think with all the bile against Trump from many pro Cruz people. Don’t think Cruz is helping the cause.

T.Rump and Cruz have it within their power to stop any “parachute” candidate. T.Rump has something like 750 delegates; Cruz 640. Together that is 1,390 delegates.

If T.Rump and Cruz made a deal, with T.Rump as the nominee for President and Cruz for Vice President, the contest would end.

The reality is that T.Rump is an egomaniac who will not make such a deal under any circumstances and will bolt the party.

I don’t want him to run with Trump//

Trump doesn’t need ted

Trump will win TX and most of ted’s caucus states

Assuming ted is able to steal the nomination he is going to need Trumps voters big time

Good luck with that!
