The former president was speaking on behalf of his wife, Hillary Clinton, at a campaign event.
Bill Clinton slammed the "awful legacy of the last eight years" on Monday, which Republicans quickly claimed was an attack on President Barack Obama. However, the former president was really talking about Republican obstructionism.
Clinton was speaking in Spokane, Washington on behalf of his wife, former secretary of state and Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton, calling her a "change-maker" who can "make democracy work the way the framers intended for it to work."
He added:
"Now, if you don't believe we can all grow together again, if you don't believe we're ever going to grow again, if you believe it's more important to re-litigate the past, there may be many reasons that you don't want to support her.
But if you believe we can all rise together, if you believe we've finally come to the point where we can put the awful legacy of the last eight years behind us and the seven years before that -- when we were practicing trickle-down economics and no regulation in Washington which is what caused the crash -- then you should vote for her because she's the only person who basically has good ideas, will tell you how she's going to pay for them, can be commander-in-chief and is a proven change-maker with Republicans and Democrats and independents alike."(continued)

More like Hellary kicked his butt when he got home.
The uber-grifter is losing his only talent....that of the smooth lie.
Sad that the pathetic little man has actually done nothing in life worthy of praise.
And libs still push him off as brilliant.
Somebody just got closer to indictment.
I thought maybe he meant Bush, and was a little confused about when that was. But I guess it was all Boner’s fault.
Poor Bill, I actually feel sort of sorry for him I mean look at him, look what he has to crawl into bed every night with, no wonder he cheats, I probably would too, or drink, and heavily
That was my first thought too. Obama's a petty little child who does not take well to criticism.

What an absolute idiotic thing to say since the framers never created a democracy in the least. You will not find that worked anywhere in the US Constitution.
They created a constitutional republic.
Those seeking to fundamentally transform this nation into a democracy are enemies to what the framers established.
He’s aged horribly over the last two years
I think Bill Clinton may be sort of fading and getting weaker, but he’s still sly enough make certain statements in an ambiguous manner. Trump is very good at this technique of almost stating, but not quite, actually saying. He can always take it back later, saying he was ‘woefully misunderstood’.
“Poor Bill, I actually feel sort of sorry for him I mean look at him, look what he has to crawl into bed every night with, no wonder he cheats, I probably would too, or drink, and heavily”
‘Cause Big Bad Bill is Sweet William now
(Ry Cooder)
Don’t know as I’d say I would go as far as feeling sorry for him, but he ain’t the old hound dog he was.
Billy can try to backtrack all he wants, but he is CORRECT... these last several years have been terrible for America and the American people
Billy knows his “wife” will be Obama Redux. More destruction inflicted on USA. He appears to be dutifully going through the motions of campaigning for her... while showing Zero enthusiasm and ... making “mistakes” like this one....(mistake being: telling the honest truth)
Billy’s “home life” must be sheer Hell...
I am wondering who will keel over from a heart attack first, Him or Her.
Hahaha. What a tool. Nose Bubba
“Hes aged horribly over the last two years”
Maybe the beast will “Foster” him for the sympathy vote?
I watched the video. He was shaking. Possibly Parkinson’s.
He was reading one of his speeches from 1996?
I don’t feel sorry for him at all.
“the former president was really talking about Republican obstructionism”
Someone name ONE time they obstructed ANYthing!!!
You actually think they sleep together? The only person Hillary sleeps with is Huma. In case of a “health emergency” according to her campaign staff.
