A conservative doesn’t support Kelo and doesn’t try to use the gov’t to take an old lady’s house so he can build a casino parking garage.

A conservative doesn’t support Planned Parenthood.

A conservative understands the difference between a trade deficit and a balance of payments deficit.

A conservative understands that free trade is to first and foremost benefit *consumers* who must spend $ to put food on the table, a roof overhead and clothes on backs. Its up to workers to c-o-m-p-e-t-e.

A conservative doesn’t want to see continued growth of our imperial presidency.

A conservative doesn’t rail about immigration but use illegal Polish workers to build his signature NYC property.

A conservative understands that our fiscal profligacy stems from entitlement spending and not military spending.

A bright conservative president would work to limit Muslim immigration but NOT *say* anything about it.

A bright conservative president would work to expand the usage of E-Verify which, while not a panacea has done a pretty decent job in Arizona.

A conservative doesn’t promise if elected to nominate his hyper-liberal sister to the Supreme Court.

This is asking the wrong question.

Trump is a populist parade master.

Whatever this parade happens to be with respect to a particular issue, that’s where Trump will be, or at least he will try to be. (He doesn’t always succeed.)

It must have been said a million times. If someone has a problem with insufficient conservatism in a certain area, ask why his parade isn’t demanding it. He’s here with the goal of uniting more than preaching.

If Cruz and Kasich don’t drop out after the next round of primaries it’ll prove they are staying in to be spoilers to force a brokered convention .

Who is more conservative than Trump on building the Wall?

Cruz. Trump wants to build his Big Beautiful Gates.

Who is more conservative than Trump on deporting ALL Illegals?

Cruz. Touch supports Touchback Amnesty. Touchback Amnesty is Amnesty.

Who is more conservative than Trump on stopping hemorrhaging Trillion dollars EVERY year from American economy in foreign trade deficits, which have killed off middle class jobs by the millions?

Just about anybody. Protectionism is not conservative.

Who is more conservative than Trump on stopping Trillions spent in middle-east wars with borrowed money from China, Japan & EU?

What does this even mean? Trump will not fight when fighting is necessary? This is conservative?

Who is more conservative than Trump on taking better care of Vets?

Everybody wants to take care of the vets.

Who is more conservative than Trump on stopping influx of UN-Vetted Muslims entering the country?

Nobody wants unvetted Muslims, or anybody else, entering the country. Trump, however still wants those Big Beautiful Gates in his Wall and more H1B Visas.

Who is more conservative than Trump to repeal Obamacare?

Just about anybody. Trump has supported Single Payer. Rubio, on the other hand, did something about Obamacare subsidies to insurance companies.

Unfortunately, I don’t think we can insult our way to lowering the national debt.

And this is exactly how we can sacrifice effectiveness to the enemy of a perfection that probably doesn’t even exist. Many of these objections are more sizzle than steak anyhow. Just to pick one of them, this is talking about the non-abortion wing of PP. To pick another one of them, he offered said lady an astronomical sum compared to what she ended up getting far later when she did want to sell. If this is the worst we can complain about the Donald then he looks set to be a shoo-in with almost no issues.

I've had it with conmen such as Jimmy Carter, Barack Obama, and now, Donald Trump.

Buzz off, troll.

Depends on what we insult. If we insult big-spending politicians enough, maybe they will take their marbles and go home. Just sayin’.

Trump is more conservative than Reagan.

Reagan supported:
-liberalization of abortion.
-amnesty of millions of illegal aliens and didn’t close the border.
-the Brady bill against the 2nd amendment.
-the NAFTA free trade agreement.

Here are the explicit conservative values of Free Republic as stated by Jim Robinson:

“Therefore, we wholeheartedly support the Bush Doctrine of pre-emptive strikes on known terrorist states and organizations that are believed to present a clear threat to our freedom or national security.

We support our military, our troops and our Commander-in-Chief and

we oppose turning control of our government back over to the liberals and socialists who favor appeasement, weakness, and subserviency.

We do not believe in surrendering to the terrorists as France, Germany, Russia and Spain have done and as Kerry, Kennedy, Clinton and the Democrats, et al, are proposing.

As a conservative site,
Free Republic is pro-God,
pro-life, pro-family,
pro-Constitution,
pro-Bill of Rights,
pro-gun,
pro-limited government,
pro-private property rights,
pro-limited taxes,
pro-capitalism,
pro-national defense,
pro-freedom, and-
pro America.

We oppose all forms of liberalism,
socialism,
fascism,
pacifism,
totalitarianism,
anarchism,
government enforced atheism,
abortionism,
feminism,
homosexualism,
racism,
wacko environmentalism,
judicial activism, etc.

We also oppose the United Nations or any other world government body that may attempt to impose its will or rule over our sovereign nation and sovereign people. We believe in defending our borders, our constitution and our national sovereignty.”

Trump has explicitly in RNC debates with other conservative candidates rejected the following aspects of conservative doctrine:

1. He has repudiated the Bush doctrine. He says that Bush lied and that his entire perspective on war and Iraq was flawed.

2. Trump does not believe in private property. He believes and uses imminent domain as means for commercial development. That is not conservative and it is anti conservative.

3. Trump has supported turning our government over to liberals. He gave money to Hillary Clinton and a wide variety of high ranking anti-conservative political leaders. He not only does not repudiate this but says this was smart for him to do. He stresses that his chief virtue is as a dealmaker. He says conservative candidates cannot be dealmakers.

4. Trump supports higher taxes. He believes the rich should pay more.

5. Trump supports Planned Parenthood which is the most powerful pro-abortion organization in the world. Cecil Richards was in white house conferring with Obama about the new supreme court nominee. Planned parenthood is not a wonderful organization. Trump expressed support for planned parenthood in the debate.

6. Trump does NOT oppose all forms of socialism. He has said repeatedly in debates under cross examination from conservative candidates that the government will provide health care to anyone not covered by opening health insurance across state lines. That is socialized medicine. It is not conservative.

7. Trump has supported agents connected to almost every aspect of the opposed agendas listed as doctrine by Free Republic. We are told that in the past six months he changed his mind about all of that.

If you think Trump is conservative— you are free under our civil rights and constitution to believe that.

I do NOT think you or anyone else at Free Republic should be prevented from answering your question— no matter how much it may offend you or upset you.

I welcome a constructive dialogue where you explain to me your confidence that Trump will advance the conservative agenda noted above.

If a property owner doesn’t want to sell it doesn’t matter how freakin’ much $$$ she is offered. Today its her house. Tomorrow its yours.

Come to Hamtramck MI and see what the Poletown disaster wrought.

Would this so-called bright conservative president have any more luck build consensus than he has in the senate? Would he accomplish anything? NO, but he would be perfect and right and basically worthless to the conservative cause.
