I think the age should go back up to 21.

My 18 year old son disagrees. He's heading to Fort Benning in June...

I think the age should be 35, and only if you pass a test.

Why should a test be required to drive a car but not run the country?

I thought primaries were operated by the political parties and the rules governing them were set by the party.

I’d be OK modifying it to net taxpayer for at least 3 or the last 5 years, as shown on your 1040s.

The concept isn’t bad — if someone is going to be 18 by the General election, it seems reasonable that he be allowed to vote in the primary. My only objection is to the judge deciding this in contravention of the law.

But then what else is new.

My police officer brother-in-law advocated that people on welfare should not have the right to vote.

They’ve demonstrated they can’t run their own lives in an effective manner, why should they have a say in running our collective lives?

I’m sure the founders of this great nation would find it both amazing and appalling that the only criteria for the right to vote today is ability to fog a mirror. And even that isn’t necessary in certain Democrat-controlled areas, based on the history.

I think it was included in the originators constitution because they heard the man who said, “When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic.”
- Benjamin Franklin

“There is nothing more dangerous, than a broke, desperate, and well armed government”
- Unknown

“Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by
letting the Government take care of him,
better take a closer look at the American Indian.”
- Henry Ford

“Socialized Medicine is the Keystone
to the Arch of the Socialist State.”
-Vladimir Lenin

“I have never understood why it is ‘greed’ to want to keep the money you’ve earned, but not greed to want to take somebody else’s money.”
- Thomas Sowell

“It is when people forget God that tyrants forge their chains. “
- Patrick Henry

“A nation without borders is not a nation.”
- Ronald Reagan
