We are all aware of what's to come later this year, but hopefully right before the election. No one wants another 2008, but so many economists see it coming soon. Will the DOW tank 5000 points this summer? Will unemployment rise back to 20 to 30 per-cent(well many of us think thats the real number). Do you think the left will blame the Republican Congress and Conservatives. Will be interesting to see who Hillary and Bernie blame it on this summer or fall.
Bush
Bush
Bush
Republicans, of course ... never, never Obamass. Got to blame it on Republicans in general. To late to blame it on Bush.
Free Republic
john kerry will blame it on Global warming
hillary will blame it on a GOP right wing conspiracy
“The 1%”, because they have money, y’know, and don’t share it.
Republicans... whites.... banks... the 1%... evil Capitalists... the Tea Party... Christians... the gun lobby... etc.
Bush’s fault.
Oversized sugary softdrinks and guns.
al gore will blame it on too many cows in the USA.
Anybody except Obama.
It’s affecting the whole globe, so I doubt they’ll try to blame just Republicans. Probably stick with the standard demon of “capitalism”.
All I know is, I hope someone with knowledge and experience in dealing with rough financial markets is in charge to help steer the ship, when SHTF.
Low taxes.
A number of academic studies have pointed to wealth and income inequality as crucial drivers in economic downturns. So, I think wealth/income inequality (and the politicians who aid and abet it) will be identified as the cause.
I have no idea whom they (media, Democrats, Beltway Republicans, Beltway insiders,) will blame, but I can pretty damn well guarantee whom they will not.
A real financial crash can easily cascade into a grid collapse.
If the screens go black, we’ll only have conjecture about what happened to the grid, much less what financial actors or other actors caused it.
And keep this in mind, and remember the old Latin, “who benefits?” Cui bono?
No electricity, no elections, emergency law, eternally Obama.
Women and chilluns hit hardest!
