According to the Trump chumps, EVERYTHING he does is brilliant, even if it is directly opposite of what he says.
To me its brilliant, Fox was planting an explosive moment in front of Trump, any other politician would be too stupid to realize it or incapable of running away because of the puppet strings.
Uhhh...what's everyone talking about today? Is it who will win the debate or is it how much will Trump accomplish for Veterans?

Even when he is not brilliant Trump is brilliant
He’s the only one standing up to the media. The others are going to stand there and take it.

It is exactly what is wrong with the gutless politicians we have. Instead of cravenly licking the “Media's” hand saying “please hit me again” Trump is saying “Nope, not playing and not only am I not playing, I am going to war against you.”
THAT is leadership. No wonder so many “conservatives” are confused since it has been so long since they have seen any sign of leadership from their professional politicians
Like him or hate him, Trump is not beholden to the media, which is a great trait for a future POTUS.

Agreed, and further, even more important IMHO, is the FACT that Trump is the ONLY candidate not beholden to the ultra-rich donor class. The interest of that ultra-rich donor class is cheap labor express and moving manufacturing to cheaper labor countries like China & Mexico.
Who is going to look out for the vast hard working middle class? I guarantee it will not be the ultra-rich donors and their puppets, the career politicians, all of them.
What’s amazing is that Trump is accused of not having much of a ground game in Iowa. It sure is amazing that he can put on such a huge event in such a short period of time with no ground game.

What Fox News did in the first debate, and what they were preparing to do in tonight’s debate is specifically called out as disallowed in the FEC regulations:

(b) Debate structure. The structure of debates staged in accordance with this section and 11 CFR 114.4(f) is left to the discretion of the staging organizations(s), provided that:
(1) Such debates include at least two candidates; and
(2) The staging organization(s) does not structure the debates to promote or advance one candidate over another.
Trump is right to walk out on such an event, as right as you or I would be if we walked out on a crooked poker game.
He is brilliant! People are freaking out because he’s breaking the rules that we have been begging candidates to break for years!
So when the candidates and the RNC got pissed and shut down the CNBC debate for the same behaviors a couple months ago, that was ok and commendable but now that Trump is standing up for himself, he’s a big dummie??
I wouldn’t say brilliant, but it was the right move, at the right time, for the right reasons. FoxNews is unprofessional and dirty. Just before the first primary contest is excellent timing. He made a command decision, a controversial one, and he will stick with it.
As another FReeper* said, “stepping away from a bad deal is not weakness”.
