Cruz only recently (last week in fact) proposed the change.

It was the first pro-American-jobs thing I have heard from him.

Trump has been on the subject for as long as he’s been in the race. Big time.

We shall see, if this is a new thing for Cruz.

Trump is a fan of outsourcing jobs, many in terrorist funding Muslim middle east countries.

Is that why Mexican illegals were used to build some of Trump’s hotels? Is that the Trump Mexican job creation program?

At MANY of the CPAC and other yearly conservative events, Cruz has stated his vision to see job growth and spoken about job-related ideas, but it seems that many have not listened to them. They tuned in to hear their own special candidate, but did not listen to Cruz. Fair enough, but don’t accuse Cruz of coming to the game late. He’s been working to turn the destruction that Obama and his minions have created around. Sometimes it is publicly noticed and sometimes not. I know that everything Trump does is noticed, as he makes a lot of fanfare about it. However, one has to be cautious of someone who always has to be in the limelight.

I’m 67, so I’ve seen quite a lot of Trump and his deals, opinions, friends, etc. over the years. That is why I cannot place him as my first choice. He is too liberal. He has only come to most of his current conservative ideals recently. That doesn’t have to disqualify him, as one can certainly change, but criticizing Antonin Scalia? Picking up the false accusations that Rubio has bene slinging at Cruz and trying them out? Waffling EVERY SINGLE WEEK on what he will or will not do in regards to immigration, illegals, etc.? How can ANYBODY with a true heart and mind not realize that Trump is at best a mixed bag?

I PRAY that he will keep his word on immigration, but with all the contradictions, I’m really not certain what he really plans to do about it. I mean, really, go back to his opening shot when he announced, then track all he has said about it since then. If that is not confusing, then words have way different meanings today than when I was growing up. That is really how liberals talk...use the same words, but different meanings. How can one be so supportive of Hillary Clinton and yet take her on in a debate? How do you explain your huge donations and votes for so many liberal policies but insist you are a conservative....THE conservative everyone can trust?

I’m worried that we are being duped....and badly, at that. And, I’m afraid that not many would have the honesty to admit that they were duped if this comes true. We are afraid of getting another Romney, Dole or Bush, but are at risk of being duped, thinking we are getting someone who could actually fix things. I’m beginning to think that Trump just wants to prove he can win, but as far as having plausible policy for getting things done, he has not shone the light on any of that. Talk is just talk. It has to be more than, “we’re going to get this done, everybody’s going to have fun, etc.”Are any of us in our right minds, jumping on a bandwagon that is so poorly laid out? Wasn’t this exactly like Obama? Lots of talk and no specifics.

Don’t get me wrong. I do think that Trump means to try to “fix” things, but he is not helping me to see that his plan has any substance. That bothers me. We have to have more than rhetoric to hold onto. We have to have more than bodaciousness to win against Hillary. A real plan cannot please everybody and anyone who goes around, tweaking it to suit this group or that in order to win their votes is being dishonest to the previous groups.
The “mania” is driving this train, not real ideas.

I voice my concerns to say that I see some not so good things coming when conservatives can be led so easily off track. I know that this has been the most interesting election cycle that I can remember, but I also pray that it is not the undoing of conservatism, altogether. If Trump turns out to be little more than a braggadocio we will feel the disappointment far greater than we think. No man is perfect, which I have stated over and again, and some are coming undone through their own words...the more they speak, the more they reveal. I thought it interesting that even Rush has stated several times that nothing Trump says hurts him, which if we are honest, shows more that he is a cult leader. Cult leaders don’t end well.

I know...I will have a mailbox full of hate in the AM, but so be it. I felt that I needed to get this off my chest. Trump is my no. 2 choice, but I have an uneasy feeling about him that will not go away. I pray I am wrong, but I also wish him well and that, if he wins, he proves to be what America needed to get us turned around. I am not attacking him, but I am voicing my concerns. Concerns that others seem to want to shut down and shout over.
