“Simple fact is, trump has the celebrity needed to beat bills “wife.” cruz doesn’t.”
I agree.
I like Cruz a lot. He’s a more reliable and principled conservative, but I think Trump would have more appeal for the average guy in the street. He speaks like them, whereas Cruz is more pedantic.
Also I think Trump would get more done (or undone?) as president since he is going to be better able to successfully take on his enemies head on (the media, the RINOs, the establishment of both parties). He has proven that.
On the short end of the deal, he won’t be as reliable, so we’ll be faced with a surprise or two here and there.
I’ll take that for now.
Cruz saw Mr. Smith goes to Washington and like many of us Reaganites still believe the Constitution means what it says and the best for America is still ahead with a statesman in the White House.
I did see that in Minnesota...but I still don’t think Cruz can pull from nearly the same electorate as Trump. On the other hand, Trump is definitely weak with conservatives...so perhaps Cruz for VP, for 4 or 8 years? Still plenty of time for the big job, and (hopefully) with ONLY LEGAL PEOPLE voting, for once, a good chance for him to both explain conservatism and to win.
Why should a politician elected by citizens of Kentucky be the boss of a politician elected by the citizens of Texas? Doesn’t this seniority concept violate equal representation of citizens in government?
Salon.com? Isn’t that where someone found some fossilized brains?
Ping! Cruz Control!
Always a good laugh when the leftists show just how much a real conservative sends them into a panic.
not a thing
you started out fine but using caps doesn’t somehow make you right. Cruz or lose.
Win-Win if it hurts the GOP in it’s current form.
You can tell a Salon post by the title alone.
I don’t think Carson has it locked up at all. After Trump complained about the Super Pac’s, I started checking to see if Cruz has Super Pac support.
He does, several as a matter of fact. Under the names Keep the Promise, Keep the Promise i, Keep the Promise ii, etc. I learned that David Barton is leading/working with one of these and David Barton brings many social conservatives/evangelical leaders with him. Here is a link to one of them. http://www.keepthepromise1.com/about/
Salon fears the Cruz
Cruz beats Clinton head to head, Trump loses to Clinton head to head in the latest polls.
Not sure what you are talking about.
Trump could win as could Cruz, no support for your premise Trump electable in the general Cruz isn’t electable.
“Cruz beats Clinton head to head, Trump loses to Clinton head to head in the latest polls...Not sure what you are talking about.”
I was around in 1980 and supported Bush-41 over Reagan, since ALL THE POLLS showed that Reagan, the guy ready to start WW3, could never pull-in Democrat votes. I was wrong.
As to Trump...you shall learn, since Trump WILL BE the Republican nominee.
Cruz beat Clinton in one national poll.
She beat him in all the other polls. Source
Trump did a little better. Source
The latest poll is the one showing Cruz ahead, it was registered voters not likely voters.
