“Theres’ a level of resistance”

Yeh 15 other candidates who are taking some portion of the pie. As they drop out Trump will likely get a majority of their pie.

If Jeb Bush had 28% to 32% in the polls right now they would be coronating him already.

This is all propaganda from the GOPe and MSM to try to destroy a candidate that they cannot control and who champions issues they disagree with.

By all conventional measures, Zigby’s right. Trump peaked too early and his popularity is fueled in large part by being in first place. As soon as he hits any rough patch and falls to second, he’s toast. More likely to happen as the field thins.

Honestly, I thought so too... or perhaps it was just delusional optimistic hope. At the very least he will do very well in open primary states... a lot of dems. He has the advantage of celebrity, and having been in peoples homes for many years. Heck, I loved watching the apprentice.
Trump is far too left wing for my taste, I don’t like his braggadocio.. but I suppose I’m not a member of the average Joe club.
I’m resigning myself to the fact he may be the nominee, and I will end up voting for him.

Wait... Carson has more longevity in this race than Trump?

Trump is doing that. He speaks about what is on his mind. Then people respect him for it. He’s a real guy. I think he’s going to win.

I think a lot of people have underestimated the power of political correctness. We've reached a point where the rules of political discourse have become so restrictive, no one can say anything. And the media have become a progressive propaganda machine. Trump is throwing the book out the window and getting away with it. He's like the early football teams that experimented with the forward pass while their opponents stood there in shock. He's like a guy traveling in a basketball game and getting away with it. Everybody is standing still or moving in slow motion and Trump is running circles around them.

Any of the other candidates could have tried what Trump has done, and would probably have enjoyed some success. But at this point, the no holds barred approach belongs to Trump, and he was already a household name before the race began.

Why do you dislike him?

Why do you dislike him?

Because I don't think he's the man to lead this country, and he's standing in the way of someone who could, Ted Cruz.

Because people who are FED UP with both parties will suddenly become enamored of them again?

I like Cruz too, but the statement that you don’t like Trump because he’s ahead of Cruz is a weak one.

I think Cruz is the best man for the job. He's been a rock-solid conservative all along and hasn't been making and idiotic promises about getting Mexico to pay for walls or replacing Obamacare with a super-spectacular plan that will cover everyone and cost next to nothing. Cruz is by far the brightest man in the race, the one with the most character and most backbone, the most eloquent. And all this nonsense with Carson and Fiorina and, yes, Trump are just hindering his campaign.

Sadly Dawg, Cruz’ support is waning. He raised 51M in the second quarter and only $12M in the 3rd quarter. If you want him to stay in the race you better dig deep into your pockets.
Cruz will know when to fold ‘em and then what are you going to do? If Trump is the nominee are you going to stay home like many did in 2012? GOP isn’t so grand anymore????

By the way, you don’t have to “like” Trump...you likely will never even meet him. I actually hope that most of the world leaders not like him either. Respect is far superior to being liked. Being “liked” is an Obama thing.

I'll cross that bridge when I come to it, but I'll likely vote for him. Better a flawed candidate than Hillary.

I actually hope that most of the world leaders not like him either.

And if he keeps calling them "insane" like he did with Merkel then that's pretty much a given. But your claim that it's better to be respected than liked doesn't make a lot of sense either. Respect is earned, which is why Obama doesn't have much. What will Trump do to earn their respect? Given his statements he's not giving them much reason so far.

*******************

If Cruz is that great then he needs to step up and get the populace on his side. Not saying he isn’t
great but he’s failed so far to capture the backing of a majority to get elected. There is still time
so we’ll see how it develops. Definetly someone in for the long haul has a chance.
