Ted Cruz raised $12.2 million in the past three months for his Republican presidential bid, about twice what competitor Marco Rubio collected in the same time period.

The new numbers are being circulated by the campaigns ahead of a deadline next week to report fundraising to federal regulators. The quarterly figures mark a practical and symbolic measure of strength for all presidential candidates, but they don't tell the whole story.

Cruz and Rubio both topped Rand Paul, whose presidential campaign said it had pulled in $2.5 million through the end of September....

Cruz the senator is a china shop’s nightmare.
Cruz the campaigner is still lost in the fog.

Wait a minute here, we are constantly being told with propaganda by the anti Ted Cruz naysayers that he doesn’t have support, that he is not gaining steam, he’s not catching on, that he is not going anywhere, but yet ?

He tops all of other candidates ( almost combined ) in soft money contributions and has beat out Jeb Bush in the last cycle of fund raising.

Sounds like there is a hidden movement of support for Ted Cruz that the media, and the lying propagandist here on Free Republic are not telling us here.

To the liars and propagandist here on FR against Ted Cruz.

Your lies are damnable lies.

Money =/= votes.

All the gold out there means nothing if he doesn’t start connecting with voters.

Guess what ?

The votes don’t start for another 12 weeks.

Don’t know what votes your talking about.

The Trumpathon is a giant smoke screen, to get the people to get emotional.

The real votes that do matter happen in 12 weeks or so.

We used to have an saying: “The only polls that matter in the year preceding an election are the FEC statements.”

Doesn’t hold up with a self-financed candidate, though. PACs muddy the waters as well.

Ted is playing the long game. Right now he is raising funds and building an impressive boots on the ground organization to execute the same strategy that won him a seat in the senate. He will worry about the polls when it gets closer to the primaries and caucuses - when voters are paying more attention. For right now he is not getting involved in a skirmish over celebrity, he is just ramping up for the real contest. If he is successful he will have pulled one of the greatest rope-a-dopes in political history. Kinda like Regan did on election night. Many of the Cruz detractors and naysayers are like mini McConnells, surrendering in advance, because the fight might get a wee bit messy and there is no guarantee of winning.

I don't know the future of the race, but Ted has my support as long as he is in the race. And as long as he remains in the race I have renewed hope that God may yet deliver the nation from this current darkness.
