Interesting venue. Kalamazoo is Ann Arbor's liberal baby sister.

“On August 27, 1856, Illinois politician Abraham Lincoln spoke at a rally in Bronson Park, promoting the presidential candidacy of John C. Fremont, who was running on the ticket of the new Republican Party. It was Lincoln’s only public speech during his only visit to Michigan.” (Wikipedia)
Sounds like Cruz will be in good company.

“Liberal baby sis.” I concur to that. West Mi has a strong conservative base though.

I think Kalamazoo was a special collection of "Kalamas" (from Kamalaland)
They are cannibalistic and that's why so few are left.

One of the stories about Lincoln’s visit is that he coined the term “Michigander” He was slapping Michigan governor Lewis Cass for riding the coattails of Andrew Jackson like a tick on a gander’s ass.

Yeah I don’t doubt that there will be plenty of conservatives coming in from Grand Rapids and the surrounding area.

(OK, there are a hundred reasons every day, but this one taught be something more about Honest Abe, as opposed to Shinzo Abe.)
