NEW YORK (AP) Two New York legislators are leading a campaign to designate Stonewall Inn as the first national park honoring LGBT history.
Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) and U.S. Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) made their announcement Sunday in front of the Greenwich Village tavern that was the scene of a 1969 uprising at a key moment for the nascent gay rights movement.
When we look at our country, we have recognized womens rights, civil rights, all kinds of rights, Gillibrand said. The time has come to give this part of our history an imprimatur of national importance.(continued)

Fabulous!
You gave it away...
They want to turn a homosexual bar, which at the time was run by the Mafia, into a national park??? Really???
Its only important to those who’s pride is based on their sexual preferences.
I did , huh? Where were you?
Rump Rangers on the premises will push in your stools for you.
Same place you were.
Raising a family, working, generally being productive.
Meanwhile, the left was out in the streets, shouting and screaming, and eventually getting their way, while we were “Too busy” to get really involved, counter-demonstrate, and the like.
Now it’s too late, the tipping point has been reached.
No, they want more federal dollars rolling into NY state (and would just as eagerly seek that designation for an abortion mill that specifically only killed black babies). Like NJ, NY state is dying a slow death, with less taxpayers and jobs with each passing day. If they can set up some goofy tourist trap to get homo tourist dollars in, then they’ll do it.
I can expatriate, should I wish to, but I hope I don’t have to.
Please....don’t mention ‘gravy’. (shivers)
Go ahead and push it, Gillibrand. A wonderful issue that will rally the normal. I feel "rallied," all right.
Jeffrey Tambour just dedicated his Emmy to the LGBT freak community.i thought what a suckup then realiized there’s probably a good reason for it if you look at him.
Interesting timing.
That movie is coming out this week, isn’t it?
“I can expatriate, should I wish to,”
I’ve been looking into lately.
But, I’ve traveled much of the world, and there aren’t many paces you can go with the “Standard of Living”, and even more corruption.
Of all the places, Israel comes to mind as the best, but it sure isn’t the safest.
We could imagine what kind of exhibits would be displayed, but not until the 55 gallon drum of Brain Bleach arrives.
And the Gift Shop: Butt plugs with Harvey Milk’s face on them? Brrrrr. That’s some disgusting stuff. Would it be PG? R rated?
I don’t think putting elk, grizzly bears and wolves in a”gay” bar is a good idea. Things could get out of hand rather quickly.
I always thought Nadler was a bit light in the loafers, as if it were possible for Nadler to be light in any capacity whatsoever.
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
While we’re at it, let’s make Bette Davis Night at the Flaming Saddles Saloon a national holiday.
