If we've learned one thing from Donald Trump during his meteoric rise in the GOP presidential sweepstakes, it's that he likes to win.
He never wants to be seen as a "loser" the pungent term he has used to describe some of his challengers, including Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina.
So why would Trump agree to rally tea party, pro-Israel, and other conservative forces seeking to kill the Iran agreement when the outcome is basically foreordained in favor of President Obama?
Unless there is a sudden change in plans, Trump has agreed to appear with Sen. Ted Cruz and conservative talk show host Glenn Beck next Wednesday on the West Lawn of the Capitol to denounce the nuclear deal negotiated by the US, Iran, and five other major countries.
Trump has called the agreement a "horrible deal" that is bad for the US and "really, really bad for Israel," because of the high likelihood that Iran might eventually develop a nuclear weapon and use it against Israelis.....

How have things been?
How is not being able to stop a sitting president and a spineless congress a loss? Trump is still a candidate. To imply that Trump should be able to dictate policy as a candidate is a high standard indeed.

Standing up for principle is never a loss. Trump will not lose a single supporter by attending the event and likely will gain many more. It will be a win in principle and a win in support.
LoL at you Business Insider. The nuke deal is traitorous and nutso nimrods.
So disagreeing with horrendously evil and enemy-appeasing policy is now considered a “loss” for Trump. Leave it to the socialist mouthpiece Business Insider to concoct such tortured drivel.
The bottom line is that unless you vote in Iowa, you don’t need to choose between Trump and Cruz.
Only one of them will win and the other will drop out quickly. So this event is a win win for both candidates. A fight between them and their supporters only help the establishment. That’s the message they are sending out.
Hmmm...sounds like they want to discourage Trump from showing.
That just means he absolutely should be there for a good ol Cruz Trump tag team slam against the uniparty. Feel the anxiety?
AMEN!!!
Go Trump 2016 All the way to the White House!!!
Business Insider, mouthpiece of the Ruling Elite for Fifty years.
Not sure just one state will make that decision for them. Maybe after Super-Tuesday, but not just Iowa.
To the contrary, the issues Trump picks to talk about get elevated and the trend has been increased support for his position. Let’’s hope that happens here.
I think Cruz invited Trump to increase numbers (many more will go if Trump is there) and Trump is going because he feels very strongly that this is a bad deal.
Its a win for the both of them. They are just a little worried doncha think?
That is a distinct possibility. The two of them had a lot to gain together.
If we can agree that this is Cruz’s deal and that Trump is coming by Cruz’ invitation, then all will be well.
I am one of the few who believes that the larger electorate will have little to no appreciation for seeing Trump throw in with Glenn and Sarah.
As a guest, Trump can pull it off, but the guest list will not prove helpful to him, I can tell you that.
Trump will gain support by championing this admittedly lost cause.
What would they have him do? Shrug his shoulders and say “Let’s just move on”
This will prove to be an excellent stage for Trump and Cruz... these two have some kind of a plan ;-)
The best part for Cruz is that Trump will bring the media with him. The media has done their best to make sure that Cruz doesn’t get much air time. I think that is why Ted is polling in the single digits.
