As the candidates who will qualify for the presidential debate in August begin their preparations, they are going to want to bone up on a range of policy issues and make sure they have coherent answers to hard questions. (Now that Syria is a mess what do we do about it? If a Supreme Court vacancy opens on Day One, who is at the top of your replacement list? Has the president pardoned too few or too many people?) Equally important will be a game plan for neutralizing Donald Trump.
Even before Trump self-destructed on Saturday, we saw candidates like Sens. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), as well as former Texas governor Rick Perry, call out Trump for talking nonsense and for racist language. At the other end of the spectrum, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) has been obsequious, slobbering over Trump with praise and refusing to rebuke his racist characterization of immigrants.
Now that Trump has attacked war hero Sen. JohnMcCain (R-Ariz.) and other POWs, those who shrank from criticizing him when he went after Hispanics are revealed to be near-sighted and, in fact, hypocritical. Once you excuse or ignore hatred against one group, you’ve lost the moral authority to knock him when he goes a step too far. Those who defended Trump — or were silent — need to demonstrate they get this....

Huh? Trump self destructed already? Gosh, guess I’ll stop seeing stories about him every thirteen seconds. Oh, look, another one. Betcha it’ll tell me he self-destructed too.
Projection seems to be a universal trait among reporters.
Thing about Trump is, butt-hurt people can’t just rip the donations rug out from under him to shut him up.

What to do about a CINO like JenRube?
I am still in the “undecided” camp about Trump (although I am enjoying the heck out of him busting pompous windbags with his comments), but not about Jennifer Rubin.
I’ve heard her interviewed many times. One would be hard pressed to find a more GOP establishment groupie and cheerleader. She epitomizes what is wrong with the GOP: a very wide liberal streak.
Jennifer Rubin can go suck an egg.
The fact that Trump is the only one the GOPe brings out the long knives for, and that includes Obama, Clinton and Sanders makes him look better and better.
Trump may have a big, unpolished mouth, he may even be a chickenhawk, but he’s making the right people frantic with rage.
How long before the Trump haters on FR show up and spew the same bs?

How to handle Trump? You GOPes have so many fun plans.
1. Mock him and call him names. Clown. Crazy. Racist.
Ok, tried it, failed.
2. Band together and shame him.
What?? People are defending him even MORE?
3. Make it look like he is lying and we are the ones who know the truth.
Oh shoot. The People figured it out again! Dang, no one is buying our lies any more!
4. This oughta do it. Punish him in his wallet. Get his golf courses, hurt his pageants, get his ties out of Macy’s.
Whaaaaa? All our tricks aren’t working on this guy!!
5. Buy Depends but just keep trying to knock him in our media... Wonder if you can still pray even if you are atheist...
